  1. Nope, me either. As you say, loads of Lappys and Curlew, the field in front of mine is chock full every year. We had a GS Woodpecker here last year, knocking feck out of the electric pylon (wood) last year, it'd be nice to see him again and our resident Spa will be getting herself ready to give our flock of hedge sparrows a bit of stick come nesting. Though my fave birdy thing last summer... Hearing that shrill call and looking up to see two or three Buzzard specks circling high in a blue, blue sky and not a cloud in sight, now there's summer for ya..!
  2. Feck me... I didn't even know there is a newer model than that one with the turning dimmer!
  3. Some interesting classes there, covering all bases, so say I had myself a working lurcher, which class am I best in? Is it a big show with working dog lads or does the 5e class fee hold 'em back a bit..?
  4. Nice pup Before I shuffle off this mortal coil, i'm gonna try one of those.
  5. And here's me thinking they had gone to the wall... Well on the internet anyway!
  6. Fantastic 3 turns, what a great picture and history to have. Thanks for sharing, love the old pics.
  7. Damned if you do, damned if you don't... The whole subject is as varied as the dogs and lines involved. What really is the case is that for anyone across the pond, before the coming of the dogs from your side, we 'had' some serious types of our own. Mostly smaller types, discretion, from gentlemen was key here. We are a bit smaller in land mass than you...! And hey, where did that bull blood you got, first come from anyway...? I'd say additional bull blood, as GTE says, has been there since the canals were cut BUT the terrier boom in the latter part of the last century seen it come to the
  8. I've heard Brian say they did and that they didn't... Dependent on the time (80's, 90's etc) and audience... Liam's on the money Uru. dont they all love an audience eh. B.

  10. A passionate man in football, by any standards, Euro 96 sealed that deal BUT Mal's right on this one IMO, the passion has got to be matched by ability. Old Cloughy should have taught him that! In league management, SP dropped the ball at City after Keegan, though he was inexperienced, then done ok with the England kids but I really did question his logic with the Olympic team selection... Who knows....
  11. Thanks Smasher, you know the type...
  12. The relative few I've caught, back in the day, offered no problem to my dogs but i've seen were dogs have been injured. Munties are the one quarry i'd have really liked to have done a bit more on truth be told....
  13. Tried to pm you Shaddow but your inbox is full...If you want this thred opening up again drop me a pm.
  14. Nice one Jigsaw, now we's gettin somewhere.... Out of proportion heads (going on the pics), big chests, turned out feet and brindle patches...
  15. Dogs an Cocks, some say size really don't matter but when that 'quarry' is right there in front of you and your gonna tackle it, well right then it really does..!!!
  16. Can I have an E please Bob....
  17. Some nice dogs on here, great to see. Anyone got any pics, or dogs themselves that look more of what I call an old school russell. Them barrel fronted, corgi shaped things, long of body, short on legs, with bully heads and houndy ears. Their gait usually seen em throwing both back legs at the same time, or skipping along on one for a bit?
  18. In theory, they 'should' be the same dog... They are ALL Jack Russell Terriers BUT some money spinning tit, decided to call some Parson Russell's and line his pockets off 'em.... So, your choices are... Money or work.....?????
  19. Jerry, put me down for one out yer next litter, i'll look well 'ard we dat... Good to have yer back, me fave poster...
  20. you missed out shoe and jake which came out the same litter as spike So I did...
  21. Dunno but with sommat like that, i'd think the worst, everything the best vet could then tell me would be a bonus... I've seen a similar injury, that joint between the scapula and the humerus was damaged.
  22. Feck me mate, I thought I was having all the bad luck with pups. I was right there with ya till the car accident. So sorry to read that, I know how proud of those pups you are. Right, in a nutshell, your doing everything right BUT you have just answered your own question... Build a run for your kennels, so as your pup don't over do it. What the brain wants to do at that age, with running dogs, the body don't always follow.... You know this, your just covering every base and fair play, I did the same the other week with my pups injury, I knew the score but put a couple of pm's out simply b
