  1. 'Pointless thred'... 'divided we fall', sorry but i don't think so. Wolfy, like anyone has every right to give his opinion on here, about the Countyrside Alliance. Thing is about Wolfy, he's a stand up honest guy, who marched in every rally the CA organised and i know because i marched with him. So why does he feel isolated what is the CA doing to champion the work he does, or me, or any fecking one of us... Because in general, most people know jack-shit because the CA dont talk to us direct! The 'bigger picture'.. What's that, because i cant easily see it and lets face it, where do you go t
  2. Can't agree mate, I have paid subscription to all of these people over the years, CA, BASC you name it.....all I ever see in the magazines are what's described above along with the old chestnut of "we are working with police to clamp down on poachers" !!You f***ing what ??!!!.......the vast majority of these so called poachers are just ordinary lads (most likely subscription payers) just working their dogs. These groups should not be supporting the police at all !!!.......they should be saying "f**k off, you took these people's rights away and we support them all the way!! That's what a grou
  3. All the dogs of the same type i've had were the same at that age. Don't worry, it'll grow a set. My ten year old dog has the biggest 'back wheels' you'll get on a dog. If his legs fail him as the years go on he should be just fine using them to get about ..!
  4. Personally I let all my pitbull pups play together and with other dogs but there always comes a time when their natural instincts kick in and I have to start keeping them seperate no matter how well socialised they've been Of course you do get the odd one that never really "turns on" but that's the exception rather than the rule, IMO. The thing is with bull & wheaten lurchers is that before they given the chance to tune in to other dogs, you've turned em on to hunting, which if all goes well, should see em right for the rest of their lives.
  5. All the ones i've been out with have been fine, some being quite meek in their general nature, if you get my meaning and have worked well alongside other dogs. That said, a 'real' Wheaten can be a real handful and they are a powerful dog but bring them on right and they should be no different to any other dog.
  6. ManU, because as Wilf said, for their sheer dominance over the years and especially for rubbing kopites noses in it for so long...! West Ham, the only southern club with northern values.... lol! Wolves, they had Sammy Chung as manager in the 70's and i had the Panini sticker, that tiddly's card was a fecker to get hold of and half the school wanted it! Oh yer, i was a great admirer of Steve Bull in the 80's too. This would be a far better list if it was teams you hate and why...

  8. No, i didn't for one minute think the park was the only place you go but i think that if you want to stop that behaviour then get him away from plaza's and the like and don't let him socialise with other dogs.
  9. I couldn't agree more than with Casso's points. I lived in the city all my life and seen the worst of dog behaviour and the worst of training methods. In the main, they just ain't wired to what modern life throws at them. And the worst place, the place where it shows more than anywhere, the local park... Shroom, if i were in your shoes i'd take stock and get that dog away from as much modern crowded stuff as poss, because it ain't gonna change there and you'll end up hateing the poor fecker. First off, create/seek out the enviroment which is right for excercise/play and training a quiet
  10. from what i heard mate the terrier judge has been a terrier man most of his life and done more than most judges in working there dogs , the lurcher judge dont know about him never watched it or asked any one about him or who he was,? Cheers mate. Is it a certain club that judges all the UK game fairs or does each fair sort out there own judges The Merseyside sort their own judges out and not any others.
  11. The lurcher judge is off this site and done a very good job. Big shedual, big classes and a warm day made it tough for both judges. Five hours in the ring is good going.
  12. I was the big gob on the microphone in the tent next to him. Plenty of lads off here are in the club, or help out with the show. It's always good to put faces with names, so please drop by.
  13. It was a difficult day today. We had too big a shedual to get through. Thankfully the judges did a bloody good job getting through some big classes. The show was very well attended and the club would like to thank the judges, Peover Hall and the good folk who turned out for the day. Oh and whippet, Gaz & the rest who were there off here... Next time come over to the tent and say hello.

  16. Not sure if that ^ is aimed at me Bos, perhaps i never articulated meself too well earlier but i never for a moment wrote his forefathers (or meant to imply) pit dog mob went into his own line...only that it travelled down to wigan to seek out a specific terrier type fancied by known wiganers....the offsprogs went on to be first registered in Staffordshire, otherwise they'd have been called Wigan bull terriers. Next time you see him ask him if this is bullshit. No, not aimed at you mate. Just saying that I've heard both versions of the history, with one of the 'not's' at the old Wigan club me

    Teenage Crush

Feckin loads... I was a randy little bugger but as a teenager i was lucky (why, i have no idea!) enough to go out with a very nice girl called Gaynor Bell, who on occasion had pictures taken and put in national newspapers (and magazines)... She's still my teenage crush...!

  19. Feck me, this guy must be Lord Lucan... Is he SAS or Mi5 or sommat ..??
  20. Here's a few more of my mutterings on the subject... First off, i dont believe the terriers used nearly 200 years ago had temperements anything like the earthdogs of today and like i said before, how much terrier was used, i'd doubt much at all... A generation, two? Enough to bring size (bulk) down and and add speed. My line bred bull lurchers are 25 years from greyhound blood and apart from speed (and shitting!) they dont show any greyhoundy traits. Lovin the Nuttall romance of the northern mini pit dogs and grandfathers etc, because i've known Brian for over 30 years and to different 'a
  21. The dogs used for bull baiting, in comparison to the pits, were slow. They were also a disposible commodity, used on mass. Pit dogs, from the wager perspective, were much more valuble... Ain't no 'convienent' in it..
