  3. ahhhh i propose a experiment! if your willing I'm game. slightly off topic but!....mole catchers (myself included) blame the tinterweb and all its relevant information as being a potential downfall of traditional mole catchers, the theory being any one can read a few pages of information or watch a few videos and become a mole catcher...now i propose we put this to the test..ile send you 2 traps one "duffus" type and one or my home made type traps....and you set about catching a mole or moles with nothing but information you can get off the internet and let us know how it goes...complete w

  7. I agree JD, be good to see that. I had a Lakie that could catch moles once, though i aint got the foggiest how to. It's on my bucket list though!
  8. Pmsl - That's what i love about this site, some helmet puts up an emotive post such as that, as a first post too and everyone bite's. Are we so starved of subject matter that we rise? I'd be very surprised if he comes back, not because of his replies but because he never had any intention too. Only to cause shit and go!
  9. Both will see you fall short of the laws of this land should you take them with lurchers. I would recommend you study the law before working a dog!
  10. Ask yourself two questions, can i buy-in better than i can breed and save myself a whole load of hassel and secondly, what the feck do i need a new dog for? Because both the crosses you mention are worlds apart and by your post it dont sound like you have a clue?
  11. Clinton Babtiste, says it all for me. Can someone put a link up off youtube?
  12. Your last paragraph sums it all up for me, spot on Accip.
  13. A lot of fields here have been turned and seeded, the dry weather has left em almost powdery, so not a problem on these. I'm just wanting rain to feed the little stream in front of my house. So many critters depend on it, especially them sticklebacks which i enjoy watching, dry weather puts em on a knife edge.
  14. Some folk think the same about hares.
  15. I'm sure i heard (R2) that this elephant was a massive tusker, tusks near touching the floor and someone had/has paid a premium to shoot it? Whilst i totaly agree with JD on the subject, i do feel that an animal that is at prime specimin level, would be better left for none hunters to admire. Prime specimens of any type quickly become 'prize' specimens for hunters but it would always be better if they are allowed to spread their genes.
  16. Bill never really kept any 'line' as we think of it today. Rather he kept quality animals working as he seen right. I'm sure there are dogs who's pedigree's can trace back to his dogs but i'd also bet two things... firstly, they wont be what you think and secondly, if anyone genuinly has blood that was in Bill's kennels, they either dont know it, or keep very quiet about it. Wolfy's right, look local.
  17. Cracking bloke who always had time for fans. Had a natter with him in the Windslow about 10 years back. A true Everton legend. RIP Howard.
  18. Gutted to read that Shaun, I always liked Reggie, he was a good honest dog. What happened mate?
  19. The bottom line is that these days most people are more interested in what their dog is, rather than what their dog does!
  20. Violent drunks are always the worst. Nusence and sex pest ones are next. Then there are the people who get drunk, know they always get that drunk, dont like themselves drunk and feck off drunk, spoiling everyone elses night worrying about em. Though for me spewers are the worst... only because i'm a sympathy spewer myself. Nothing on this earth makes me spew apart from another spewer, drunk or not! Me, i still have a drink because i like the drink, usualy red wine or cask ale. Getting drunk is the down side...
