Well i dont know Rooney ( maybe you do in which case fair enough ) but he strikes me as a shy type in interviews......and why shouldnt he be......yes people like Ali/Bobby Moore etc etc were exceptions to the rule and carried themselves very well but come on it shouldnt really matter should it ?.....we all look back with fondness on a time when football was a way of life for the working classes instead of a luxury few people can afford......yet here we are now expecting those working class lads to be upstanding,highly principalled and articulate young citizens its football not the opera we sho

Yes but as a football fan would you prefer an average player whos an upstanding fine citizen......or a great player whos a bit of a lowlife ?......because all we are is football fans. If it comes out next week that Dimitri Payet makes love to horses i really dont care as long as he carries on performing as he has for West Ham.... i dont want to be his friend he is a foreign footballer who happens to play for the club i follow theres no relationship between fans and players anymore so what do i care what he does in his private life....i just cant buy this " role models " for kids one either

AJ is as stiff,ripped and statuesque as Bruno was.He is probably as easily hit and as limited as well.However he will make more headlines than Bruno because the current crop of heavyweights is woeful.Take Charles Martin for example,when he was tagged by AJ he could easily have gotten up but he waved the white flag immediately.In my opinion he should have had his purse withheld.But that is the standard these days. So we decided to exit the EU. Or at least much of England did. I note that the Leave campaigners have dropped their promise to spend £350 million a week on the NHS. They are also saying they won't put a cap on EU migrants. 'It was never about immigration' they say. Boris has been sacked for lying twice. Iain Duncam Smith , Boris Johnston and Michael Gove have all stated the NHS should be privatised. So we are all going to be poorer, the NHs will continue to be underfunded and possibly privatised ( the french and germans spend about 12% of GDP on healthcare-we are projected to spend around 8%)

Just returned from a week's holiday in Yorkshire (Gunnerside near Richmond) The place is CRAWLING with rabbits. I only saw one with mixi.I asked a few of the locals whether mixi ever wipes them out and they reckon it only has a small effect on numbers. Does the Yorkshire population have some sort of immunity? I hope those of you lucky enough to hunt in Yorkshire don't get either a more virulent form of mixi or the dreaded haemorrhagic disease. The place is a lurcherman's paradise.

jumping fences and gates is an easy thing to teach a lurcher if you introduce obstacles slowly as the dog matures. A really impressive sight is to see a running dog jump hedges. I must confess mine don't. I once saw a traveller exercising his mutts, they were saluki hybrids. These dogs sailed over 5 and a half foot hedges for fun. I imagine you could put a few more critters to bed if you could train your dog to take hedges in their stride. I bet nobody has video evidence of their dog performing the trick. Prove me wrong somebody.

West Ham are one of those teams that every fan has a bit of affection for. As has been said, they provided the nucleus of the 66 world cup team and traditionally play open, attacking entertaining football. Having said that, Hurst was imo a very average player and i hope they get stuffed tonight. As a genuine Man u fan (born 1/2 mile from the ground) I hope we stuff them tonight and piss off the West Ham crowd big time. Love West Ham always good for three points. ( Except for this season -granted)
