  1. I understand a dog running an earth that has fresh scent Neil, but I wouldn't want a dog running every multi holer/deeper spot I come across, to me that would be a frustrating experience. If you have a dog with a good nose, you have to trust him he knows what he's doin
  2. been thinking about this question again mok so where did you think I was that you might recognise it from that pic ?where Ron took me for a mooch with the dogs perhaps?
  3. been thinking about this question again mok so where did you think I was that you might recognise it from that pic ? His permission! Haha..... not my permo mate...

  6. i think you hit the nail on the head there. It has been fishing hard for quite a while now. Lakedown would be a better option next time mad4it
  7. seen this dog work, not a show dog by any means, but he certainly knows what the job is all about. And thankfully is seeing plenty of graft with a very capable dog man
  8. Temp has started to drop, but still masses of ground cover. Be a while before the frosts start to make a difference me thinks
  9. dont believe a word of it, you've never got any tea with you!!
  10. Or they bring lots of food and drink and never offer anyone a bit
  11. It's very cathartic, purges the soul for the coming season. Atb gentlemen
  12. Also dog walkers, usually moved down from town, and have no right to be there other than they think they can walk there dog anywhere they like especially if it's off the lead
  13. Come on Neil, there must be something that annoys you.....
  14. Wondered what you gents pet hates were when it comes to a dig or having a mooch with the tykes. For me the people who always want to dig your permo, but who never return the invite really grind my gears. Or they do, and then cancel at the last minute. Also find it frustrating when people want to start digging as soon as the dog stops moving, and don't give it time to settle, resulting in lots of half dug holes
  15. Where I'm fishing I'd be touching either bank with the oars
  16. The river rother for me opening day, chub and perch fishing jungle style. I expect to come home covered in scratches, bites and stings!
  17. I was thinking the same thing, would be a handy dog to have sometimes
  18. Do you think that if you had the room in the kennel, you'd keep a dog that you knew just wouldn't stay? For those really nasty, awkward deep spots where your heart sinks as you know there's someone home, or for when you need a quick bolt and be on your way because of too many joe public wandering about.
