  1. ok thanks for the help lads. Take it easy
  2. Hi, i noticed a few weeks ago that one of my ferrets seems to be loosing fur on its tail. The tail is visible through the thin hairs. Now both of the ferrets have the same. The tail isnt completely bald or anything, but its clear that they are loosing the hair. Anybody had similar problems or heard of? Thanks
  3. My ferrets always eat the eyes out of rabbits too
  4. Your dog looks the spit of my whippet. Hows it bred?
  5. My mate had a hob called wonky (it had a bent front tooth)....boss worker!! Had digs with it like, but no more than i would with my jill.
  6. Looks a bit like a euro polecat, nice!
  7. Handle it as much as possible....when i got my kits, if they bit me i would flick them(straight after) fairly hard on their nose.....that worked for me and its something i have done with a new ferret from a different litter. But take the comment above into consideration too.
  8. why did you have the dog put down?
  9. If it doesnt eat the food put down by a certain time, just pick it up and give it to him at night. I feed mine, meat in the morning, biscuits at night
  10. Yep . I've just got a bit of new permission . Covered in blackthorn . It will be twice as bad by autumn . I'll need someone young and fit to crawl in there and set the nets . No ,seriously ,we'll give it a go sometime . "Are you sure I can't bite it just a little bit ?." My mate tranfixed by an approaching alien spacecraft at the end of a hard days ferreting. He begged to be abducted and probed but they said that they'ed met his sort before and just took the rabbits . I reckon it was the noises from the Mk3 locator that attracted their attention .
  11. Gasing for me is a NO NO.....i would have thought that you couldnt eat a gased rabbit right??? Just think of the sport you could have after the summer by leaving them alone to breed.(the farmer should have thought of all the rabbits on his land before now the plant pot)..... If you shoot rabbits, they could have young down the hole which will be a waste. Id tell him you'll be back after summer
  12. These are from when he was younger. Hes not much bigger but hes got a few more scratches n scars these days.
  13. Yes, i use one in my hutch (tray with cat litter in), i had two out the same litter, they shat in the same place (the litter tray), then when i got a new one, that shats up stairs. Easy for cleaning
  14. your like me mate, mines are called 1, 2, 3 and 4 haha i didnt think there was any point really, they just come to a whistle. But if people want to name their ferrets like most people do, then fair play.
