  1. So would you say that the only difference between feeding minced meat and bone compared to unminced, is the fact the dog would get more mental stimulation?Surely mincing could help with the difestion of bones? As my dog whos only 17tts sometimes almost swallows chicken wings whole, might bite 3 or 4 times before tilting his head back and literally inhaling it! Not only mental stimulation chewing bones cleans their teeth which can/does improve there general well being. Mince is not as bad on their teeth as biscuits though.
  2. Mine haven't started eating it yet but the lurcher does some interesting turds after he's been eating the ply and polystyrene I lined his kennel with, you'd think passing splinters would stop him doing it.
  3. It's in a big compresses bale mate, when I got mine the price varied from 6 quid to a tenner I think depending on size. Got it from the grey track.
  4. Waxed paper here too, cheap as chips and the dogs like it. Not as much mess as shavings either. I used carpet one time and one of the dogs got friction burns from trying to scratch it up comfier.
  5. I'm not sure its the bite back tbh, wolves kill foxes don't they as they see them as competition? Perhaps its something along those lines? My dog got bit by a rabbit but he doesn't hate them
  6. I had a castrated hob who mated or at least tried to mate jills, I think it was stabs who had a castrated dog which still tied with his bitch when she was in season too.
  7. I've always found it helps if the dog has marked and your young ferrets encounter a bunny every time they go out , small burrows preferably. Same as easy rabbits give pups a confidence boost.
  8. Keep doing what your doing mate but I'd leave the pork out, can't remember the exact reason why but I know its not recommended to feed it the stinkers.
  9. Well done mate, you should have plenty to work with next year. I'm gonna have to get a pair of polls for next season. Do you still want a linnet mule? I've just wire brushed and painted one of these cages, what a ball ache, only 15 more to go
  10. Won't they just get booted out of Australia if they kick off over there?
  11. Just been given a load of all wire breeders for next year so now I've got the fun job of wire brushing them all down and painting them black, I'll try and get some pics on when their up and running. I'm hoping to use plastic fascia board for trays underneath and will hopefully be pretty much mite proof and easy to spray off should I get any of the little sods.
  12. Them chalky shits are meant to do them good on the way out, clearing the anal glands out.
  13. Ask which vets and see if its there. Sounds like your being fobbed off to me, they probably weren't expecting you to shoot over it and find out.
  14. My pup just had her first season and I kept her away from my others for 4 weeks to be on the safe side. Mate of mine had a greyhound bitch that was tested by the vet daily to see when she was ready to mate and it was the 22nd day.
  15. That place is crawling with the dirty feckers, good fun with the dogs but I wouldn't be happy walking around in there in the dark :0
  16. Would you like to rephase that mate (This pup of mine bit) Sorry yeah, my little girls pup
  17. This pup of mine seems tiny to me but did ok on her first bunny last night, hopefully she just gets better and better.
  18. Beauties mate. Any pointers in the colour feeding of mules you'd like to share with us? Cheers, gnipper
  19. She's a beauty mate, can't hurt to try her can it.
  20. The ferrets that have been riddled with fleas and ticks have probably bumped into a hedgehog down a hole, I reckon rabbit fleas are different and don't live on ferrets (or dogs) but I could be wrong.
  21. If your gonna frontline them every time they eat a fresh rabbit do you do them every time they've been out working? Can't say I've ever noticed them transferring over to the ferrets for long?
  22. Mad feckers Bad thing is there's lads on here understanding and agreeing with you
  23. Are ginger biscuits meant to help travel sickness?
  24. Eating chickens are only about 2 month old at slaughter size and their bones are quite soft. Boiled are meant to be ok too but I feed raw.
