    My mates peas get hammered by mice too, I'm new to all this but my peas never got touched in the pots last year.

    I've stuck some peas in to try and I've planted some sweetcorn inside so it's ready to go out when it warms up a bit.

    Ours are ok, I've put the garden bin out so heavy with soil and rubble I could hardly move it and they still take it.

    They banned paraquat a few years ago now. Glyphosate is better in the long run as it gets in the roots of stubborn weeds.

    I accidentally dug out a nest with 4 moles in whilst putting in an artificial earth a few years ago, the nest was made of carrier bag and leaves?

    I wouldn't say it's oak either but whatever it is has been there a long time and it's a lot bigger than the picture shows. I'd love to go back and see what it was like round here before they drained it all.

    We get a few round work that try and attack the tractors and chase us etc.

    Each to their own but I wouldn't have a dog that's just been ratting in the house round my kids.

    If i were in your position I'd leave the dog to the women and kids and let it get used to you in its own time. It will get to like the person who takes it for a mooch.

    The one I had was as skycat described through lack of early socialisation, I persevered but she was impossible to live with.
