You tried gain Roy?No mate I've bought bags of various but ended up giving away ....literally spent and a wasted 100s. I get beef from grays hill in Scotland now ,almost like steak ,And eats just enough to keep him alive. He looks well has a nice coat has plenty of energy ,muscled up on his legs and shoulders but his back and hips are terrible . Drop a bit of your food and it hits him on the back of the head lol

Raw Fed Dogs Any Health And Performance Benefits?
roybo replied to reddog70's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
the one thing most do wrong on dry food ,though, is feed too much of it. its rich in protein and because its dry you don't need the bulk as you do with read some of the labels you will be surprised how little they need. just getting them to eat it is the hard part , must be like eating saw dust some of it -
Raw Fed Dogs Any Health And Performance Benefits?
roybo replied to reddog70's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
I think we get more out of feeding our dogs well than they do ,I feed raw ,and have mostly since I've had dogs ,but have ,at times switched to complete.. Some did well some didn't. go with what fits with you . I think some dogs would do well on the contents of the average dustbin ,while some won't look well on the finest meat you can buy. But without scientific tests I don't think there's a way of knowing if a particular dog will do better or not in back to back tests -
I've always said the best food is the one that your dog eats ,enjoys and does well on. Be that dry raw or a mix ..... As long as they do well and enjoy their grub ,be happy . Mine is a fussy fecker I feed a good raw diet ,he looks OK if a little light. If I could find a complete that he would eat and do well on,I'd be ordering it now

In for some good times good luck!

That pom is something else ! Lurchers look great too like, but shows you if you out the time in and let them be dogs they'll surprise you

Never been much for Merle's , but a good dog can't be a bad colour,in my book ,and if it was a choice between having a pup out of a litter or not ,colour would be the last thing to consider

Braver man than me,taking 2 pups in at once. Especially being your first. A mix of red meat and chicken will do them good and if it will eat it a bit of pasta and veg....mines the pickiest eater though so makes it hard work. As regards to kibble ,the best is the one they will eat and enjoy, but try and get one where meat is the top ingredient ,as many use maize or wheat husk etc

Something similar bred to my old bull cross bitch hopefully.

I have a bike that has an electric hub motor ...fine to out a few miles in . But the type of fitness they get from lamping I don't think you can replicate ,a dog just won't run the same as when it's behind something. So steady with free running late night and the bike to save my legs. the first few weeks of lamping is what gets them right ,

I've seen him too ,seems to know his way around a running dog
-
still got them mate?
-
What's you best price pal? And what are the sizes of the medium and large
-
it is a fair price true, but £100 notes is good price for a lurcher= x bred dog, it will keep timewasters away. most of my lurchers were £ 40- 100 quid, and my best one of the lot Buck, only cost £ 15 quid price of a ferret lol, but i gave the lad (me1) who bred him, £ 45 quid for his kids bit of pocket money . £100 is no guarantee of keeping time wasters away ,dickheads have money too. Usually the worst have more to burn a hole in there pocket.. and then decide before a pup is ready to run ,it's not for them. and £100 won't change their mind.

Glad you are sorted hjckcff. Hopefully it will serve you as long as Ozzy be sure to post some pics pal

Put the ones you like into a bag ,and pull one out ....sorted

the breeder is supposed to microchip them. you may aswell get them chipped yourself as its a tenner i think to change the address on the chip anyway. yea i know mate,,,just some won't want them done ,some will just a difficult call. i wouldn;t expect them done myself my vet had a bit of a hissy fit when i took my pup in for his first jab about it. i picked him up a day of six weeks old as he was booked in for his first jab the next day at 6 weeks old. i told her i asked for it not to be chipped as i didnt want it done until it was older, she didnt like it lolSome say do it later don't they,a
