  1. it should be but isnt as far as i know.. if they get caught selling 'firearms' to people without a licence they will probably get thier pants pulled down... if I had a gunshop i wouldnt risk losing my business.. but some people will try use ignorance as an excuse, for example, "oh well hull cartridge should have checked it before they delivered it to my shop" then the guy buying the gun could say "well the gunshop should have checked it before they sold it" end of the day tho its down to whos in possesion of it... perhaps when buying a gun, thye person should demand to see
  2. id be more than happy with that. at least you know it wont go over the limit.
  3. I wouldnt use the word 'pointless' .. they just dont need cleaning very often..
  4. suppose fac is a different beast.. lol i remember my mate having to put all his might into getting a ox spring in his old hw80 or bsa supersport. like bending over and pressing it into the floor . had loads of bruising marks on his stomach from the barrel digging into him. if you see what i mean./? but sub 12 are piss easy
  5. nah mate peice of p1ss to get in and out safely without a spring compressor.
  6. Look brilliant, although i dont like black pudding lol..
  7. HAHAA this is going to go on for quite a long time isnt it mac Good banter!!
  8. woody behave a lot different to ferals in my experience.. woodys are a lot more scared and on edge. sometimes you could shoot 5 ferals all sat in a line and they might not even move.. its almost as if they are asking to be shot!! lol
  9. have you tried accupels mate? just a thought .. i couldnt even keep the rifle on target if i held it with all my strength lol thats how bad the wind was.. this was trying to squeese off the trigger in between blusts of the wind!! normally i would get every shot on the bulll at 20 yards, not bragging just saying 20yards is no challenge
  10. robbing barstaaards!! cost you a few quid for the seals mate should be easy enough to do yourself..? heard the s410 was very easy to work on and isnt the s300 quite similar? sure you can find a video guide somewhere. or some of the great guys on here should be along shortly. possibly davyt63 will know, hes a top guy and has an s410 he might know if there similar to the s300. anyways good luck mate
  11. Cheers pal, just uploaded pics and edited them into the post not sure if you seen them
  12. Eyup guys, This morning there was not even a breath of wind and i had some unfinished business with a couple of ferals in the farmers shed sh1ting everywhere again. 2 flew out on monday, after i seen 2 but shot only 1 last week with the 97kt.. anyway seen them again this morning sat in a place i didnt anticipate and they flew out on me again!! examining the pile of dung on the floor and pointing the torch straight up i could see a thin metal support beam - in between the gurders they usually sit on - that i didnt even know was there!!! .. little baastads!! anyway i was just about to go on
  13. well said simon. of om not confident i wont take a shot. on monday i could only just manage 2p groups at 15-20 yards with bisley magnums in the hw95k. because of the blustery wind. i packed it away and went home without shooting anything else!! SKoT
  14. nice one lad. bit windy up here still :/
  15. Thank you mate, and I definitely agree. If you have the accuracy to put each shot in the kill-zone, there is no need for excessive power. wheras if you aim for the head, have no accuracy, but the power. miss and blow a back leg off the animals going to suffer!
  16. yesterday i chronoed my springer, and before testing a different type of pellet i didnt clean the barrel but fired 8 of the new pellets quickly before re testing with the new pellet. dont know if 8 was enough but it was better than zero lol
  17. just wondering is there a 12 ftlbs limit in fiji aswell? crap isnt it. lol so much can affect the power of airguns even the temperature!!
  18. alwaays like reading interesting stuff like this, nice post mate I agree accuracy should be more important than power
  19. its mental !! on any given day your gun will be probably doing a slightly different power!! cheers barrywhite for sharing your experiences
  20. theres so many factors to how powerful an air rifle is.. i think it would be quite easy for it to go between 8 to 13 ftlbs depending which factors are in place at any given time, what do you guys think..? legal limit 12 ftlbs is pretty hard to stay under then really.. best set your gun to 5-6 ftlbs to make sure it stays under the limit then?? better safe than sorry......... LOL
  21. same mate.. didnt like davys tx that much lol prefer my 97 and same with thumbholes i seem to get on better with them its each to their own isnt it Cheers SKoT
  22. too far from me mate lol. it is hard tho. keep knocking on them doors pal. all the best , SKoT
