  1. I was just going to get bismags for chronoing.. as with hobbys. so how long ago were the wasps a good pellet.. because for the last 15 years we have regarded them as medium quality.
  2. Looks like il be getting hobbys and bismags for chrono then try li's jsbs and probably ftt's for normal shooting/grouping/hunting
  3. I was thinking that . my ,177 95k was about 11,2 with jsb and ftt but only 10,5 with bis mags. Was thinking of rws hobby flatheads there really light arent they?
  4. Must admit only just recently have i been more able to see the impact of my pellet through my scope on a springer. Its easyer with a low recoil rifle or a pcp.. or when lamping. Guess i might be getting better at shooting then ?
  5. hey guys, probably already loads of threads about this already but i thought id start another haha .. im trading my .177 for a .22 hw 97 and was wondering which pellets to try when i get it. i was thinking of getting - bisley magnum (mainly for chrono) rangemaster li jsb exact and then one other tin.. of you's lot's choosing so are they better with fat pellets like ftt 5.53 or skinny ones like 5.50 or 5.51 ??? help would be appreciated lads and lasses
  6. my first was an aa s200, very good gun. no pressure gauge so was guessing at shot counts. my second was a left handed (stock and bolt) aa s410k. very very good gun. fitted likke a glove was really nice wieght and quiet as a mouse with the aa silencer. my third WILL be a hw 100 t or kt very very very good gun. but that wont be anytime soon. daystates and bsa pcp's are also held in very high regard tho. but my choice will be the hw100 good luck choosing.
  7. ive heard of the tooth fairy, but never the noodle fairy lmao
  8. i forgot to put the velcro on my stock for the lamp switch, so i was holding that all funny aswell it was really awkward so holding the rifle steady was a lot harder. just glad it dropped and didnt get away injured.
  9. yep my thoughts exactly! he didnt need telling to look else where. respect for the owner of the gun tho telling him why the underlever was rattling.. a lot of dishonest people would have made some BS up to get their sale money..
  10. id have gone with him..im a bit better of 'a shot' than him (although he wont admit it lol) , but i think he was in a secretive mood kinda thing, was just going to show up and surprise me that he had a new rifle, but then when he found out it was ..broken??/dodgy? he had second thoughts on it. so if this guys nearly cocked it let go and the underlever has slammed shut do you think it will have definately done some major damage to the accuracy?
  11. hey guys other day one of my mates was looking at a second hand hw77 he got offered at a pretty good price apparently, wouldnt tell me how much tho he said it wasnt in the best of conditions and was slightly rusty and the stock was quite badly scratched. he didnt take any pics tho.. one thing he did say was that when he was looking at it the underlever felt a bit loose/ rattely and he asked the guy why it was like that. the guy told him that as he was cocking the rifle one day the underlever slipped out of his hand as it was almost cocked but then it slammed shut and thats why it ratt
  12. exactly. i always thought silencers were pointless on springers. plus if theres 2 rabbits sat 5-10 yards apart say 35 yards away, when your pellet smashes the skull of one of the rabbits that is going to make some right noise! plus then they see you reloading aswell.. if rabbit number 2 is STILL sat there after all this has gone on, then quite frankly... he deserves the same fate as his little matey!!
  13. this is my hw95k being fired without (10 secs into the clip) and with (42 secs) the silencer . if u keep skipping between the two shots and listen over and over you will see it does make a SLIGHT difference. its barely there and you cant hardly tell, and it would probably be an insignificant difference.. but there IS a difference.. i had a massive debate / argument with my cousin about this last night before we went lamping. hes one of the people who never admits their wrong, even though you are proving them wrong. lmao edit* i forgot the link haha --
  14. like has been said PRACTICE untill you can put any pellet into the killzone of the target. then it doesnt matter what calibre it is..
  15. well just got back from a spot of lamping. didnt see much. got one small bunny under a tree near a warren, usual hot spot, looked bigger than it was -otherwise id have left it to grow.. i didnt have the velcro on the stock for the lamp switch to stick to, so i was having to hold it weird.. as i was aiming at the rabbit (about 20 yards) standing, otherwise i wouldnt have got a shot off, i was just finely tuning my aimpoint trying to steady as best i could (hope you know what i mean) and i had it just right, but as i squeezed the trigger i wobbled like f**k randomly!! maybe because the gun
  16. Greatstuff elliot again pal. I use a deben tracer mini.. nice little lamp for gun. google it lol
  17. No mate i wasnt having a go sorry if it seemed like that Glad wer ok..and that cheers beer smiley looks cool haha, just having a strongbow lol when i had my 99s's a few year ago i wasnt as 'good a shot' as i am now.. and miles away was 25 yards lol.. but they wer still pretty accurate accurate and seemed powerfull enough, even compared to the 97 i had in them days aswell. Shame you wont be at the meet .. i think people percieve me / take me the wrong way on here.. if you met me in real life (lol) .erm, in person... then im sure you would understand me a bit more lol but i
  18. whoa calm down! lol i was only asking!! i was thinking about saving £100 and getting a 99 instead of the 95.. but iv'e had 2 in the past and wanted something different/ new to me, so i went for the 95.
  19. so pianoman.. are you saying IN THE RIGHT HANDS [ aka yours ] that the 99s fully tuned could match your 77, or si's 97 .. eg 15mm killzones at 60 yards ..? there deffo sturdy guns and have the rekord trigger, and im guessing the same sort of barrels as the top end HW's ..... so accuracy wise they should be just the same right?? or am i missing something here lol.
  20. i think personally he was on about the walther lvg. but i will probably be wrong lol
