  1. one of my brothers had something similar in one of the old eastern bloc countires 20 or so years ago, think it was czech, taking photos of a tank and got slammed up for about 3 days. car pulls up beside him in the street, three blokes grab him and just hold him till a police van arrives. took him to the station, took everything he had on him, even his pants, and left him in a cell with just a blanket and a bucket . no questioning, nobody spoke to him at all, even when he went nuts screaming at them through the door. two guards would open the door twice a day and put some food inside and that
  2. well that certainly was one of the most interesting games have seen for years. the tactics used by the italians were brilliant, you wont see that kind of surprise again for a generation, honestly. fantastic coaching. and because it was a bolt from the blue the english were just lost. glad to say they got the hang of it after the break, and when they were going forward looked very very good at times. will not get that amount of space against better teams though. but they wont get ambushed like that again either. but saying that, i cant think of any other team who would have adjusted to deal wi
  3. i read they used to drive the geese through sticky tar and then sand, so it protected their feet.
  4. now, i know little about football so i might have this all wrong, BUT.. to me, a manager can do so much, but once you are on the pitch it is down to the players to perform. if the team keeps losing then the players must take a lot of responsibility for that, not just the manager. I mean, how many teams have honestly totally transformed purely because of a change of manager, and not through buying new players? so instead of taking responsibilty for their own failings, we have a group of senior players whingeing to the board "its not our fault we are crap, the big boy made us do it"
  5. I have a copy of this, very atmospheric painting and technically excellent
  6. FA Cup TV schedule confirmed: Chelsea v Man Utd on BT Arsenal v Lincoln on BBC Spurs v Millwall on Crimewatch.
  7. magic. my old dad is this year and he lives alone. my oldest sister got him a friendly little old black cat a few months ago, and it really has given him a lot more purpose and drive in life, and i know he really appreciates the company as he is on his own.
  8. there will be a lot of ticketess millwall fans wandering around north london, i fear...
  9. lanesra i remember a few good games between arsenal and millwall in the late 80s
  10. thats a real shame, sorry to hear that news
  11. i like the little grey one at the back seriously, they look lovely pups, hope you can place them all
  12. I think they moved to Oz What is it with poms sending convicts over here??? no, it was the good guys who emigrated, the scum are still here
  13. fair play to the two blokes having a go in the ring, but the rest of them are plonkers. platts had a video out himself a few years ago think he went a couple of rounds with the fat bloke, was hilarious. then his mate dr busker jumps up with a feckin accordion singing folk songs or summat, absolute shit but absolutely hysterical too.
  14. tomo the turnovers werre the result of a welsh backrow with 130 caps playing an english back row with 20 caps, the technique and second-nature speed of thought to work the ball in the tackle is second nature to warburton, but our lads havent really got there yet; thats the difference between this side which is struggling to win against european teams, and the side which won 3-0 against australia. swap saturdays back row for robshaw/haskell/vunipola and the story is very different. i think hughes looked better than he did last week and was happy taking the ball forward but still a bit green at

do you think mike brown will keep his place Tomo ,? was reading in paper that his last 2 test games been poor and his place could be up for grabs , after the italian game .? personally i think brown is a quality full back, and the best attacking full back since ian balshaw. i think he has been a little off the pace but then again so has the whole team. i would like to see maybe daly start there against italy, i think it suits his skills better than wing, and i think it might just allow brown to focus a little more but long term i think brown is the right man for the job. Tomo?
  16. i had that in my old house, bloke came and power flushed it, should have seen the crap that came through! worked apparently there is some kind of filter you can have built in for the rads to stop this so i am told

He has great knowledge of the game I'd say. I enjoy his comments. They also used Brian Moore to balance the commentary up. It's never been the same since Bill McClaren left us thats the truth, good ol bill. its not about bias, i just dont think davies is a very good commentator tbh, very good at stating the bleedin obvious! "that tackle was superb if it was a few seconds earlier!" lol

    Peckham

i have met this bellend on a couple of occasions, and he is far from mad, he is a very good salesman/self promoter who doesnt ever let the truth get in the way of any kind of story, if it will benefit his agenda. he knows that there are enough animal rights wackos about to keep buying his shit and supporting his career if he tells them what they want to hear. far more scary than a madman. he is also an arrogant prick who has overblown ideas of his own status

I'm not saying Packham isn't a cockwomble.....but someone has made him look more of one than he actually is ! http://www.hsi.org/world/united_kingdom/work/glue-traps/tips/humanely-get-rid-of-mice.html

i have commented under the 6 nations thread but i would like to add, why do they still employ johnatahn davies as a commentator? he annoys the f''' # out of me..
  21. wow, what a game.!!! england really are a dificultt eam to beat now arent they, never say die and fight till the last minute (think of man utd 5-10 years ago, so many last minute winners). still very very inexperienced team in many positions too (hughes was carrying better this week an d itojes positional play is improving, clifford still anonymous in the back row for me; imagine what daly will be doing when he has 25 caps and the confidence of that, he was great today along with launchbury and nowell. lawes was off the pace a bit i thought. wales looked a much better outfit going
