Why doesn't he just put them down? They are just going to compete for food and territory with the pure wildcats aren't they?

A couple of points here. Bodies: how often do you find a dead fox or badger or deer? Not very often. Now consider an analternative much rarer probably more shy and probably not so keen to come close to human habitation and it doesn't surprise me if there are no bodies Roaring/calling: do you know what a puma sounds like? Have you heard a leopard roaring? It is often described as a cough not a roar. It actually sounds like somebody sawing a big timber board with a long saw. I have no idea what a jaguar roar sounds like but there have been very few imports of jaguars and they are simply t

Here's one that was killed on the road in the late 80's. Their was suppose to be a lot of very big ferals seen over the years, in the same location as this lad was found. So interbreeding maybe? Holy feck eddie, thats identical to a big fooking cat my wee lurcher bitch caught in the donegal hills about ten year ago, small tail same colour, an it was a great catch, good battle but pepper prevailed, amazingIm no expert, but think one of the more distinguishing features of the jungle cats is those tufts of hair on top of the ears. If they were present, then maybe you had something specia

This might be just a coincidence but there is a private big cats breeding facility at Wheathampstead where this deer was found. I mentioned it a few pages ago

Tomo jags aren't really known for killing humans particularly but you are right that leopards are more likely to. However thesee tend to be so called rogue individuals and are still very rare in relation to population size.there are always certain circumstances which cause this for example old or injured animals with a shortage of natural prey . Where leopards are desensitised by exposure to people obviously they lose some of their fear such as urban foxes. I think if there is a population in Britain then the density is so low that I think they would struggle to meet any of the normal goals fo
  7. Was on the pub with my little brother one night he is a big lump and absolutely tough as old boots and some lesbians started getting stupid about the pool table or something. Now he tells them to shut up and this great big fat bull dyke with crew cut and Jack boots comes up to him and starts giving him loads. Ends up throwing a pint in his face so he just crackd her straight in the chops and she hit the floor sparko like a sack of shit. He gets thrown out but as he said to the landlord at the time "if she wants to act like a bloke I am going to treat her like a bloke". Fair point I thought

I had that book from a book club 25 years ago, it does make you think. Especially as photoshopping had not been invented then. Do you remember the photo of a cat on a hill side by a dead tree, and when the measured the height of the branch it was as tall as it was over 3ft. That is one photo that has stayed in my mind. TC Yes I remember it well. There was another picture of a tabby looking thing leaning on its back legs against an old cupboard and they recreated the picture with a domestic cat and it was not even half the size. That is the picture that I really can't explain it is not o

The woman with the Kellas cats was called Di Francis. She wrote a few books I think the Kellas cats were wild cat x domestic. She has written a few books answer some of hem are nonsense but her first book is worth a look. It is called Cat Country and you may or may not agree with lots of the ideas in it (personally I think a lot of it is fanciful) but there are a couple of pictures which I find it very very difficult to explain certainly look like large unidentified cats

Was the leopard place near welwyn by any chance......I just googled welwyn & I'm not sure now, I thought I'd gone somewhere in Norfolk? It's near on ten years ago now mate & I was reluctantly roped into going. It could of been though?I only said welwyn as there were a couple of private cat breeding set ups down that way near Wheathampstead but you could have been somewhere else. Here is another zoo story for you. A well known zoo in Kent had some enclosures wrecked in the big storm 1987. One particular deer managed to get out of its cage and they searched the grounds to no success. S

Now I have written this story on THE before but no harm in repeating it . A friend of mine has been a zookeeper for nearly 40 years. She worked at ravens den in the 70s when they were importing every kind of animal you ever heard of and some you didn't fresh from the wild. I seem photos of her in hf kitchen with lion tiger snow leopard panther cubs handreared with her dogs. In short she knows her big cats probably better than anyone else on this site. Secondly she is a trusted friend and he no reason to make this story up especially to me. So one night she is driving home to the village in

    Acid Attacks

There is a particular cultural group which does these acid attacks as a regular form of punishment if their daughters look at a boy from the wrong ethnic group. Another problem made common which was rally very rare until quite recently. Fits right in with honour killings and all the rest
