    Don't forget however that two brands of pellet that weigh the same will produce different results. Far to many variables!

    Good skills half inch it goes to show the pitfalls of air rifles, until the government standardise pellet testing everyone could fall into the bracket of having an over powered air rifle as it all depends what pellets your particular force tests them with should your rifle be seized for power testing. Its a mine field alright so keep an eye on the power as it beds in. Another pitfall is it all depends what device you test your rifles power on as to what reading you get.     Trench the way I've heard it from several people who know their thing in the airgun world is that the prosport is like a tuned rifle from the box, hence the high price for one. There are a few minor tweaks I've heard can be done but really most people love them straight from the box. I have heard once the warranty is up on them they benefit from a degrease and relube. They really are a sweet firing rifle straight out the box and that goes for the tx as well.

    You can go straight into any gun shop and purchase a pro sport at the most it would take a few days to order in and is a tuned rifle straight out the box, awesome rifle. 97KT also a good rifle, not as good smoothness wise out the box but when tuned is reportedly at another level completely. Depends how long you wanna wait, SFS waiting times are currently very busy and don't expect to see it for at least 4 weeks unless you get lucky. Both awesome rifles.

    The usual big brand names is a good place to start, try a tin of falcon accuracy plus, they have a fairly flat trajectory in .22 and since your rifles a falcon the pellets may well shoot nicely but it really is a trial and error thing with rifle/pellet combos I'm afraid. Try Air Arms field Diablo, jsb exacts, rws superfields, Bisley long range gold. To name but a few.

    Actually, if you want something different than the run of the mill mate I would go for the superstar, I used to have one in the late 90's and I wish I still had it to this day but had to sell it back in 2004 to get married. Extremely accurate and when BSA springers used to be ontop of their game! You wouldn't be disappointed at all. A guy at my local club has one in .177 and his targets look just as good as everyone else's when he's done. Do it!

    Nice one fella that HW97 looks to be in mint condition that's for sure! You'll really enjoy that, probably one of the best spring piston rifles in the world!

    Manchester airguns do a really good all over re blue, I e seen the results on someone's rifle and its mint now. Think he paid quid to have it done but ring them and find out.

    Was going to say, I must have had a special addition S10 then because mine had a regulater fitted. ;-)

    Hawke panorama and you get 50 quid change then even if you buy the top spec larger diameter 50mm version. Lovely reticule and crystal clear. Great for every day use.
