  1. Its 17 months now. According to the lad who i bought it from, the sire is gould and mother parkes. The parents are well worked. But i can see the dog has lost that spark. It wont even mark an occupied earth now.
  2. Yep did 5 min. Wouldnt even mark at first
  3. the dogs spewed it. After 3 tries with a months break in between, just doesnt want to know. Long wait till summer before i can get a pup, then another 14 month+ till its of age. The joys of terrierwork eh.
  4. Is it showing any interest yet? Looks a good size now.
  5. http://m.preloved.co.uk/m/showadvert/112204076/patterdale-terrier.html This the dog?
  6. All the flash n fern stuff is in northern Ireland now I think.
  7. I wouldn't keep a dog that does a few minutes then comes out. But I'd definitely keep a dog that will stay as long as you wish until you call it out. Now that's a dog worth its weight in gold.
  8. What came of the dog doing it?
  9. Anyone ever had a dog that is completely mute but doesn't mix it with its quarry. Just sits in front of it about 6 inch without punishment but will stay hours till dug without a sound at all.
  10. wouldn't might knowing what people think of these as well.
  11. looks like a completely different type of dog to the above pics
  12. i don't think he was belittling you. He was probably on a rant! I believe they cost more than other earth dogs because the 300 pound pups aren't usually the earthdogs, theyre just pups bred for the pet and show market. Your still letting the money cloud the real issue, and its a point not a rant.I'll pay whatever I'm just saying that the expensive dogs tend to be the dogs that aren't worth that price(pets).

  14. These exhibitions are basically unregistered bouts then... dont like the sound of it. Most gyms ive known have a minimum age of 10. 8 is too young in my opinion as they dont all have the concentration span required to train and learn properly at that age.
  15. I though the minimum age for a bout in the aba was 11?
  16. 20 billion towards the government tax for the country, but the average british person is still out of pocket!!!
  17. a big difference when its been warm and dry since summer.
  18. did you not write a book on the strong dogs of ireland ? No, my company published a book of historical photos. I personally do not need, or agree, that there is a place for 'draw dogs' in today's terrierwork. I just don't. But, like I say, that's just my personal opinion. I agree that strongdogs in the wrong hands can be bad for terrierwork in todays day and age, but i wouldnt say using a strong dog means you have any less respect for the quarry you hunt and i stress that im talking about sensible geniune dog men not macho men standing at a dig with a pair of runners and a staff Whats t

    Rspca

I dont care what whatever he has done. The rspca should pay for taking a mans dogs for so long and attacking the hunting community. Theres no scam here loon. All we want to see is the rspca apologising and changing its ways
  20. theres game here for them if your parting with the dogs.
