  1. What are you plans in terms of work?
  2. has it produced any decent dogs dogginlad, fine stamp of a dog.
  3. Take him to an occupied earth. If he goes, theres your answer. Anyway, you cant make a dog go to ground.
  4. thats what the pedigree states, but they werent bred to that extreme until kc got involved. But i dont see it a problem if its not to be worked. Atb
  5. Franks got 3 posts all of them are trying to sell his pups... Would be nice if you could contribute mate.
  6. So he's selling a pup, parents can't be seen. Breeder can't be seen and no history with it. But he is asking for 350...
  7. agreed. It's not the permission I struggle with, it's having the dogs to work it. Hope it all goes well for you lee. ?
  8. many lads are brought up in urban areas were its a luxury to be able to travel down the country for permission. Nothing wrong working terriers were you are brought up, that's what you do when your young. Don't act so snobby.
  9. You need to lay off the crack pipe
  10. Then there's always the excuse after the dog comes out. Oh the dog must have finished the job! ?
  11. Yeah I think the box has a 5 year warranty.
  12. agreed. They're doing fine the way they're doing it. If he's happy to do it without a locator, who's to tell him he's wrong.
  13. Not every cloud has a silver lining, and dont believe all you read.Them men could be proud as it was a hell of a rescue. Why do you keep drifting away from my question,WHY PUT A TERRIER IN DANGER WHEN THERE IS NO NEED TO DO SO.The ullswater rescue is history, past tense,we are moved on a lot since.Everyman to his own,if thats the way you enjoy your hunting then crack on and good hunting to you.because it's illegal. He can enjoy working his dogs within the law, so why push the boundries and break the law
  14. I'd fall out with the dog if it did that.. I know it would be handy. But I would still see it as a failure.
  15. I believe the locator is a God send. But why would he use one if it's breaking the law.. He doesn't need to break the law to enjoy what he does.
  16. its the cubs i would be worried more about. It doesnt do the dog any good getting the run about with small cubs in small tubes, it can make any dog frustrated nevermind a pup. Its also very rare a vixen will be with them at this time of year. They will lie up near by and call them out.
  17. take no notice of this. Cubs are a pointless exercise for a pup that can end up counterproductive.
  18. i have to agree, theyre bred for work, and if they cant do that they shouldnt be passed on. Theres too much shite dogs around as it is imo.
  19. Never thought I'd see the day when it came to this its fine to make your own mate. As long as you dont sell them
  20. i suppose it depends on yourself. Some people are happy to wait till a dog is 2 and a half to see if it will go.and if it doesn't goo after been shown a few times it's diffently a cull.ud expect this question from a young lad not a middle age manwell the thing with the question is I don't get the work or die mentality I personally could not pts a healthy dog as I'm a soft c**t I suppose but it seems if you want to work terriers you have to be emotionally detached from your dog'swell if the dog doesnt work your stuck with a dog that cant do its job...
  21. You should enter your dog when your happy to and if all doesnt work out you feel you have done all you can for the dog. If you enter too early you may have regrets.
