    Excellent way to make the pup hate you and walks. non of my dogs hate walks. So what are you on about. Maybe it would be a better idea to have got the pup a pram to push it in! If you give em a tug they soon realise that resisting the lead is pointless. All the pups that have done it with me have done it out of stubbornness (spelling) not lack of confidence because as soon as i let them off the lead they would walk ahead full of curiousity.

    how did you stop yours dropping in,?? any tips to give this guy might help him,and as yours is up for stud he might be able to get a pup off you might he not ?? if its the big chocolate dog that i think he has, it wouldnt fit too well in a rabbit earth

    ive got to disagree. The lads that come in with a reputation on the streets or lads sent there with anger issues tend to be the lads that dont like getting hit. Your lad has every right to be nervous as in the amatuers you cant put a face to your opponent until on the day.

    Thanks for that . He has said to me that sometimes he feels under pressure from the trainer. He has a comp coming up this weekend, but he is not sure about it, only mentioned this to me last night funnyly enough... nerves do that. Its good the trainer has put him under pressure. That will make him perform. As a parent, i wouldnt tell the trainer what to do, it never ends well and the kid is stuck in the middle of it all.

    Dont get a patterdale for rabbiting youll only lose it to ground. Lurchers will mark a rabbit just as good if better, without them disappearing down the earth. And will also cant one if they slip the net.

    ive given it plenty of time and in great pup spots. It just doesnt like teeth mate. If you lay it of for 6 week then after that it wont mark, its telling you the dog doesnt want to know. I sure aint going to force it down.

    Its 17 months now. According to the lad who i bought it from, the sire is gould and mother parkes. The parents are well worked. But i can see the dog has lost that spark. It wont even mark an occupied earth now.

    the dogs spewed it. After 3 tries with a months break in between, just doesnt want to know. Long wait till summer before i can get a pup, then another 14 month+ till its of age. The joys of terrierwork eh.
