  1. What are people using for carrying their rifle in? I’m after a bag or case to take my rifle that has a scope with a small torch on top. I also have a T8 mod on the same rifle. At the moment I’m making do with an airgun bag that’s just enough to cover the rifle and gets me to the car unnoticed but it doesn’t zip all the way up. I need something that will take the rifle with all the gear on comfortably and protect it. It’s the same with my rimmy with bipod on. Gone are the days when I could visit a local gun shop to look what’s suitable as they’ve all closed. Be good to get some recommendations
  2. Back at the place I was at last week last night. I tried one place which drew a blank and went up on the hill. Flicked the light on and there were eyes in amongst the sheep. Couldn’t be sure at first and with my fumbling to get the filter off, by the time the white light hit the field, it had gone a good hundred yards away and kept going. I always make sure at what I’m shooting before firing and have lost a few over the years doing so! Didn’t help that the farmer pointed out a new cat in the yard last week, just planted a bit of doubt in my mind. Anyway, this young dog fox played ball, coming
  3. Zzzzzz! So they can stop the football as well can’t they? We’ll be more social distanced than footballers at a corner kick I’d say. Keep hunting

  8. Managed to bag a couple of foxes last night with the Hornet. Crackin’ round is the Hornet. The larger dog fox had been on the wanted list for a while now, and wouldn’t enter a trap when it suspected something. We watched it on cctv, with the safety on, it took bait but as soon as I flicked it off, it walked passed the trap every time! Got him last night along with this cub that worked it’s way towards me slowly as I squeaked. Farmer was very pleased and I’m returning tonight as this place has many acres to cover.

Only watching Dame Dianna the other night on the new All Creatures Great And Small. Enjoyed watching Minter win the world middleweight title in 1980. Hagler emerged later that year to take the crown off Minter in three rounds. Both did well in life ??
  10. There’s a few on my patch but they’re very small by the looks of them and dear as well. Not my thing if you’re going to be bumping into each other and wiping some feckers spunk off the wall as you squeeze passed ?
  11. Feed store and around the farm, helping out the old farmer, whose struggling these days. He has them in the house so trying to shift them. He sleeps a lot these days ? set all year round as I pick up squirrels and other stuff as well

  16. The moor where I work and walk on when I’m not working is nothing like the moor this twat writes about. We have merlin, whinchat, nightjar, owls x 3 type, peregrine falcon, cuckoo on the lower moor, curlew, plover, lapwing lower down, wheatear, stonechat, ouzel, pipit, siskin and much more flora and fauna. Step over the fence line onto a moor managed by the rspb and it’s dead! There’s either lots of pipits or nowt. Most ground nesters are predated and the corvids and gulls rule this patch. Having just had a day on the moor today beating in great company, I know where the real work is being pu
