No mate, pennines way

Managed to bag this vixen tonight at last. It’s been a long job. Had her mate three weeks ago, her nippers last week, (only two) and missed her on the same night. Spotted her lying down on the hillside as I drove up to my parking area and she legged it on seeing me. After waiting out elsewhere thinking she’d head there, on near dark I went back to where I’d seen her earlier and there she was, mousing. Sticks up and down she went with the Hornet. Got another litter nearer the farm to deal with next week ??

I take feck all, I just eat what I think is good for me, porridge with fruit on in the morning, two sarnies and four fruits at dinner, salad at night normally and maybe a piece of toast later. At my works medical in January I was told I’d put a stone on in a year. I’ve soon lost that, in fact I’ve lost a stone and a half and feel much better for it. I’m quite active during the day, walking miles rather than driving

Knocked this up in work yesterday. It screws onto my primos tripod after removing the original V rest. You can leave the rifle resting on this and take your hands off if you need to ??

Had the pleasure to watch George in the flesh a few times. Never seen owt like him since. Went to see him at Fulham once as well when an away game we were going to got called of. All the reds fans already in London headed to Craven Cottage to cheer him on

Went to see her a couple of years ago with the missus when she did a talk/interview in a theatre. Really nice lass and very easy to chat to. I might ask Clive for some permission on there ??

Lost a pair when we were digging a fox out years ago. They must have been in the back fill. Everytime we returned to this place, I was hoping we’d end up digging in the same earth but we never did, so it’s Charlie’s fault ?

We’ve decided to go one more time on this place. There’s still a few trees we’ve not touched, but having had 25 from this small wood, the guy who runs it phoned to ask if we’d visit again. Good tip as I’m sure most will know, don’t ram the pole through the drey, just gently tap it and you’ll find a squirrel coming out to look at what’s happening and sitting on top of the drey, that’s the time to shoot it, as it presents an easy target. I’ve had a hook fitted to the end of the pole, so after we’ve poked the drey, we can pull it apart to discourage others from using it ??
