  1. If its any of my local robbin b'stards, they will give you very little for it I'm afraid. hic!
  2. Just ordered some falcon accuracy plus - hope they're good
  3. Thats a light pellet at 13.4. I think I'll give them a try. I'm guessing the trajectory is pretty flat - whats the downrange performance like? In my own HW100, so far I've found AA field work best, in terms of accuracy at range.
  4. I know what you mean! It's hard to hang fire sometimes. When I go decoying, I hold off til they are close and easy for the first couple of shots, while i get my 'eye in' and then go for more ambitious shots. Unless I'm really on form that is
  5. Saesneg ac yn falch

  8. Thats the hope JB I'm a more than half-decent shot with an air rifle (modest too lol!), so apart from the odd bird 'hung up' on the way to terra firma, there should be plenty for her to go at. I always shoot the hung-up birds out of the trees eventually though. Thanks for your input
  9. I remember a blonde Fox, with crackin tits too Turned out to be a rug muncher though Shame.
  10. Worryingly, it seems he is in the habit of 'slipping rohypnol in drinks' unnoticed. So worse than a Newark, he could be a rapist and I hope the local plod are keeping an eye on him now.

    farts

squeeze out his glands, thats why he has such foul wind. He has impacted anal glands IMO
  12. So, any advice concerning the original post, fellow dogmen? Does anyone see any harm in letting my young lurcher have a go at retrieving branchers on brancher day? many thanks Duncan
  13. Lucky git! If it shoots fine, keep shooting it rather than wasting time and money fixing something that aint broke (Ithink theres a saying there somewhere lol!) Cheers Duncan
  14. I'm allergic to the PW. Really looking for a double barrel 410 - sxs or o/u
  15. Cripes! Don't waste a good malt on the dog - I'll be right over Glenmo at mine next time round!
  16. It's not a case of loyalty X38, more a case that Paulus has not given me any cause to question his character. My first encounter with you is you jumping on a thread to slate him and his dog, bearing in mind that I've seen his dog perform on a few occasions now. At the end of the day, i am actually looking for advice regarding the training of my own dog, not having to deal with another mans vendetta against another chap. Can we leave the Paulus debate there now like grown-ups? Cheers Duncan
  17. And good luck to you ...meanwhile, back to the thread, free of any gob-shiteing.... any advice on taking a 7 month old promising lurcher out on brancher day?
  18. howdy mate so what as his dog done to inspire you what are the all-round skills have you seen that you talk of and could thay justs be basics at the end of the day ie. sit stay fech etc etc ........ a t b x38 all lead work  many a true would spoke in jest  right these all-round skills ......i think that the dog in qustion would do good in the right hands and given a chanceto let that drive out that has been serprist for so long as them basics are there for a reason ....hunting i think you've met a different Paulus to me fella.
  19. howdy mate so what as his dog done to inspire you what are the all-round skills have you seen that you talk of and could thay justs be basics at the end of the day ie. sit stay fech etc etc ........ a t b x38 Thanks for your razor wit X38, no not potlicker skills, hpr skills in the field - Flash would put some 'quality' retrievers to shame, it broke my supposition that you needed a 'proper' retriever to retrieve well Having shot a few times with Paulus and seen his dog retrieve birds 100+ yards away in really dense cover I thought it would be nice to have another lurcher for myself that
  20. I think that if i bred a litter of pups that i would be keen on letting a person of that age to have one either,.. the pups best interest would be my first concern, could they walk it, was it going to get the best care, other wise it might end up being passed from pillar to post, and eventually find it's self in a rescue centre, (like so many others), Quite right Mintstick (why mintstick?) - I've had pups available in the past and made it very clear to any prospective owner just how much exercise they need - the welffare of the animal is paramount after all
