  1. From the title, I thought you were going to say you'd realised you were sitting on a fortune
  2. same here £1 each in there jackets with the guts dropped. its been a quid for as long as i can remeber however he does pay 50p each for squirrels/ Paul, I'd pay you that for squirrels! Rabbits only fetch a quid each down here as well - to me they are worth more as meat for the table.
  3. The field itself is opposite the RAF Lakenheath 'watching area' (for aircraft before any of you reprobates gets smutty!), not near the m-way fd. I think the main road is the A1042 (?)
  4. Thanks for the recommendations
  5. I suspect permission may be blocked by the MoD
  6. I started my lads on a BSA Supersport carbine - fantastic!
  7. LOLs! It's not a place I could ever hunt
  8. Its over 100 miles from where I live!
  9. Torn between: Rabbit Chilli, Smothered Pheasant or Stir fried woodpigeon, or cajun coney
  10. I was driving passed a field opposite RAF Lakenheath today and noticed a bunny or two feeding on clear patches of grass between the snow. As I looked further out across the field, I noticed they were everywhere! I estimate between 50 and 100 rabbits in a 5 acre area, next to Wangford Road (Wangford - great name for a small town lol!) heading towards Thetford, Norfolk. No signs of the myxoma vrius either, I am delighted to say. Any other sightings of large numbers of rabbits feeding in the day? It must be due to the really low night time temperatures and sunshine in the day IMO. atb
  11. I am in TVP , got Sue Curryer as FEO. Thanks for all the replies everyone, its still a tough choice; ideally I'd rather just have one CF to get used to and become good with and I reckon going after boar/feral pig would be infrequent to say the least. Fox would be regular, and munty's and CWD, roe and red less often, but more often than the porkers. I'm a big bag of 'dunno'.
  12. Shoot instinctively; I always hit more when I shoot without thinking. Are you a rifleman too? One thing I (ond countless others) have struggled with is being a rifleman for a long while before taking up shotgunning because the tendency to stop the swing once the trigger is pulled is hard to overcome.
  13. Gareth and his research are right. The springer will force you to hone your technique and keep it 'honest'. If you grip or rest the rifle, it will punish you with misses. You keep a good sense of independence with a springer too! My bag did not improve when I went from HW95K to HW100S. ATB and good luck, Duncan
  14. I'm struggling a bit here guys. I reckon its about time I got a centrefire or two added to the armoury, first for a dedicated foxing rifle, and second a deer/boar rifle. My FEO (who knows sweet FA about rifles) has said that any CF I get will come with a mentoring condition, so I reckon I might as well go for a .223 and .308 at the same time for my next variation. Any comments/suggestions about the suggested calibres? ATB Duncan
  15. I notice that poacher3161, boyo, troter58 and 1 other like this
