  1. I didn't, til I noticed it - now I've gone and noticed it so my OCD has kicked in
  2. Wouldn't it lack a bit of oomph compared to the 1050?
  3. JB68, the purple helmets make me laugh - crazy bunch!
  4. Mines frozen I've noticed - keep seeing new 'visitors' appearing but the view counter hasn't changed in ages. Any ideas why peeps?
  5. Roost shooting - one of the best shooting sports! Thanks Paulus ;)

i now have to clean the fecking thing....cheers lol

  6. I was thinking black - perhaps I'm a bit old for vivid orange FJR is a shaftee isn't it? I'll have to have a look/ride. Another thing I liked about the 1050 Tiger was despite it's size, it was actually quite flickable. Compared to my X11 anyway. Long dogs, I used to have a lot of fun on DT125R and then a string of tuned MZ's (raced em too for a while), but if I got on one now it would be a disappointment after a lot of massively better bikes I've had in the intervening years. I did read of a couple of guys going round the world on C90's or plastic chickens as we used to call em
  7. Purpose will be 28 mile roundtrip commute, in comfort and with good visibility, sunday blatts although I'm not a mad rider any more and the odd weekend away, a few hundred miles away. I liked the Tiger for its flexible engine and the ability to sit at 100 ish in comfort - great screen. Fast enough (especially with a sportier can and remap) to be fun, and most importantly, fabulously good for my back. I'm done crouching over missile type racereps. Thanks so much for the input guys
  8. Yep, just like when selling motorbikes - insufficient cash = no ride! (not that I'm suggesting anyone tries riding a terrier)
  9. nice looking dog mate shame about the feet and the jeans
  10. get some of the 'dandruff' on some dark paper and watch it for a while. If it moves, then its a parasite that your vet can supply a treatment for. Evening primrose works for dried out sebaceous glands which often causes the flakey skin, and it takes a few weeks to take effect. Other suggestions on diet that have been made above can also help, unless its a parasite of course. Atb Duncan
  11. Aye no problem mate, it'll just have to be arranged in advance of the bitch giving birth if you want to catch the 5 day period. Unless of course, the owners are already planning on docking! If the pup is from working stock, they probably are
  12. Thanks Kev - hadn't thought of KTM. Already ridden the trumpet triples bar the new one due out next month hence the leaning towards a tiger 1050 - really comfy and good a=on the back and very flickable. Good useable spread of power too. Are the KTM's twins? Cheers Duncan
  13. only if you find the dog is not being looked after.
  14. Given the hypothetical situation, I wouldn't have let him have the pup in the first place. If you can't find 50 quid there and then to buy said pup, how are you going to afford vets bills etc etc?
  15. Choosing a new bike - how lucky am I?

    1. just jack

  16. Hi guys n gals, I'm looking at a new bike and pretty settled on either a Triumph Tiger 1050 or Tiger Adventure 1215, subject to back to back testride. But as its a large investment (or in truth splurge of lots of hard-earned cash) I'm curious as to what any bikers on here would get if they had a budget of £11k max (happier if less) to blow on a new bike. Thanks all Duncan
  17. No, that would just be the one Lab I'll have to watch what i write here buddy but i can assure you some of the comments i have made are true and some are made up...... Although i'm having a bit banter with Paul he knows as much as me that his Lurcher cant perform like a proper working gundog. 20. Nature or nurture with hunting? I always wanted to hunt n fish but my dad was never into it. Result~ air rifles, rifles, guns dogs and as much hunting and game cooking as I get time for. My kids? both brought up around guns, game etc and have the opportunity to shoot and hunt but hardly bother! Eldest is a good rifle shot, has hunted bunnies with air rifles quite well and done a bit of pigeon shooting with the guns, but its just not something he wants to do much of. If I drag him along, he enjoys it though. My youngest is 11, has had some air rifle shooting and a few goes with a .410 but, t
  21. Now he is a looker! Shame I'm not in the market just now
