Altberg are a top pair of boots mate. If you go on looks they are the smartest. The sneakers are ultra light but make sure you don't get the jungle ones, they have a material up the side and is not waterproof. It's difficult to tell at a glance. I wear the altberg peacekeepers just because I've had them for years. Altberg is a British company who make te boots on the suggestions of the soldiers. I have been the the factory in Richmond and it's no bigger than the local co op. The staff were on the ball and if you go the factory directly they will measure your feet and make you a pair made to me

Few weeks back my garage was Broken into and somebody had tried to take the ferrets. My hutch is padlocked but they had ripped it half way open. Think one Of the ferret bit them and they f****d off as there was a bit of blood on the hutch and Door handle. Found out a week later that my mate works with a lad who had a cut on his hand, he asked what had happened and he said he had tried taking some ferrets off a woman who had them in the garage( not knowing I was there). We used them for locating where the pheasants was feeding. Never used to shoot them. Didn't shoot or run hares either as there wasn't many of them. Not my choice it was the head gamekeeper who wrote the rules

I wish it was like that for me mate. I was away sept-April missed the baby's first Xmas, first birthday, I'm away just now and got myself out of a 3 month tour of the Falklands where I would of missed his 2nd Xmas/bday. I can't wait to get out of this job and live the life of not being owned and live for the family and enjoy time with the dogs. Being away just now worked out fine as the pups recovering from a broken leg so she's had time to recover coz I'd be eager to get her out before she's ready.

I raced with and grew up with the supermoto champion Martin winstanley. Still see him when I'm home. Thanks mate. I wish I could change my job to suit but I cant. Next year I'll be leaving the job im in now for something different. Looking forward to moving to the new place and a new start.

I used that cuprinol stuff but I think it's shite tbh. I'd use cuprinol on the inside and a fence/ shed paint on the outside. I'm moving house in a few weeks and could do with your spare hutch for the ferrets pass it my way please Joe lol I'll gee you some brass for it. Pm me

just wanting to see how many people out there have changed their situation to suit their dogs. i have read a lot of posts about people who have got a certain job because it means they get time to work their dogs and people that live in a certain area or house because it suits. im moving house at the end of the month and one of the main reasons (amongst others) is that the dogs will have a better environment, bigger garden and will get more time out in the new place. its more expensive than my house just now but after thinking long and hard the benefits outweigh the negatives and it means t

if your on about the standard issue boots i wouldnt use them as plant pots theyre made out of compressed cardboard, take ages to wear in and if you go for a long tab you and up with horrific blisters. last time i wore them was in training and i done 67kilometres and felt like i had took the skin off to the bone. i see them for sale in surplus stores, goths walking about with them on and it makes me cringe if your on about a certain make of issued boots like the magnum jungles we get issued for kenya, the lowa/meindl deserts for afghan of the jungles boots for belize then theyre ok bu

You go to Afghanistan and their holy mosques are nothing but a shitty mud hut. Over here their mosques are phenomenal buildings, with thousands upon thousands of pound worth of kit. In my experience forget 'f**k the ban' and everybody concentrate on f**k THE MUSLIMS

Says something when soldiers won't touch their own issued boots. We use lowa mountain which are the most durable and the comfirst, altberg sneakers are the lightest and pretty comfy or the best boots by a clear mile are the old adidas gsg9 boots. You will find it hard to get hold of a pair of them.
