  4. 15 years ago lost 2 to parvo. My older dogs are not done as 2 are 14 and one is 16.

Its a nice place Denbigh, went through it on the way to nefyn couple of years ago, went to stay with a friend who lives up there. Were off to pembrokshire on sat for the week, staying on an old farm turned in to holiday lets, fantastic views and loaded with wildlife, walk stright out of the door and theres miles of fields to walk the dogs in, so long as the cows are in the top fields, dogs can go loose.
  6. My older dogs are not done - but my younger dogs are done on the 3 year vaccine, with lepto every year, as my youngster is always diving in ponds and wallowing in puddles, parvo and distemper is on the rise again - so im not risking my dogs comeing down with anything.
  7. If it started with the sire it could be a gentic fault. Have you tried kelp - as that does help with the coat.
  8. Its worse heartache not knowing i can tell you - would sooner know what had hapened than not know, as everyday you think of the dog that is missing (will be 11 years this year) of not knowing. RM2508 - Wish there was more people like you, the world would be a better place.
  9. Actualy the owner came home to find the gate to the dogs compound broken - both dogs where missing - (out of 7 derhounds - only these two went) no one saw them for days till someone who knew the dogs saw them in a popular woods not far from where they lived, owner tried to find them in the woods but couldnt - then they were heard on a farmers field and the rest is in the update. (Origanal post from owner) There is also another deerhound missing in that area - couple of vilages away from where mo and benson went missing, thats not been seen either.
  10. What a special needs post. "would the anti in yas stop yas" That's right, anyone who doesn't cull hard is an anti. nah just ur probably 1 that wud just pass it on to somebody else n h dog gets rehomed time after time Muppet I'd never sell on an adult dog, if i couldnt keep it for some kind of work myself, i would either find it a home with some one that i knew who had a working use for it, or give it away to a trusted pet home. If it had failed to make the grade i would have it spayed / castrated. Simples. To be honest i wouldnt shoot it unless

  12. Have told her he is taking the piss and once the dog is gone ( when he can pull his finger out his arse that is) she will not hear or see him for dust, told you R you should have just sent him a message to say the dog has gone and rehomed him - you've had months of piss take from him, its beyond a joke.
  13. If you need another you would still have to make an appointment for your dog to see the vets, as they wont prescribe it without seeing the problem first, tbh the price you paid is actualy cheap for the eye cream and appointment. Think about it - you would end up paying for consulataion, then prescription and then the price online, could end up costing more.

  15. As tecnacly you dont know who's they belongto - they would realy be classed as strays, police would need to be called and i would call ilph, rspca wouldnt do anything and are a waste of space dealing with horses.
  16. If you can find another lactating bitch that will acept them, then thats your best bet, if shes a first time mother than rejecting pups happens, we had it with one of our bitch's the trick i did was to get another bitch in with them, and let the dam see them dam was on lead, but she went for the other bitch and reclaimed her pups, it dosent happen with every bitch, but for some just seeing another bitch with the pups clicks motherhood in to place.
  17. Vets have to do it - they cant refuse if you ask for it, as for charging, depends on the vet, some charge a few quid - some up to a tenner. If it was 18.95 including appointment, then tbh it would probably end up costing you more, to buy on line, if that was just for the Fucithalmic then i think thats a little steep.
  18. Mo (bitch) 3 years old - chipped (this is sister to my bitch) Dog lost poster for Mo - http://www.doglost.co.uk/dog_blog.php?dogId=35997 And benson (dog) 3 years old - chipped. Missing from their home near Gunnislake in Cornwall, UK. They have been missing since 11.30 am (Wednesday 4th January 2012). 21. It could also have the opersate affect and the dog could end up turning the next time it saw sheep. A few years ago someone i know of was recomended to do simler with their bull x, except it was with a small pony the dog was muzzled and tied to a fence - the pony kicked the s**t out of the dog, a week later the dog was allowed to be loose around that pony, lets just say that pony is very lucky to be alive, in the training of dogs there is no short cuts - you either do it properly or not at all.
  22. This lovely Lurcher was found by the Police tied up in Clifton (close to the technology park) on Boxing Day, the dog is not microchipped and is wearing a leather collar. If you recognise this dog or have any information on this dog please contact 0161 925 1007
  23. Try jans gifts or try on LL - http://www.lurcherlink.org/llink/forum/viewforum.php?f=19 Think on thin coated dogs - coats are fine and do help a lot, my own dogs dont always wear coats, my deerhound and beddy x dont wear them, if its realy bad weather than i may put one on the beddy x, but the deerhound wouldnt thank me for it, insted i have a toweling coat for her to make sure if she has got soaked she can warm up faster when back home, the bull lurcher thats staying with me though does need a coat - she feels the cold very quickly.
