  1. I used to buy them - but dont bother now, for what they are there a little to expencive and you can get all the info you need off the net. Some of the magazines have there own sites and do put up a lot of stuff on them. although the mag's will be more up to date with info, if you do want to start buying the mag's, best advice i can give is have a look on their sites and see which one fits your needs and level of experince. http://www.amateurphotographer.co.uk/ http://www.digitalslrphoto.com/ http://www.professionalphotographer.co.uk/ http://www.photoanswers.co.uk/Hom
  2. Problem is mixi is known to mutate - thats how it was designed, and its not just being transfered by them being bitten by insect's it has been notied that direct transfer from rabbit to rabbit has happened. Any vet will tell you to pts stright away as it causes immense suffering, affected rabbits can take a fortnight to die and treatment is usually futile, as for vaccanation - they can still contract the virus, alls the vaccanation does is make it more treatable, there are two atypical forms of myxomatosis: one causes pneumonia and a snuffles-like illness, the other ("No
  3. Tracks not back open yet a far as i know - its been shut, think the new management are awaiting on the licence to come back should be open soon hopefully.
  4. Unfortunaly SS it is happening and the info is not through the papers either. Lolas story http://www.pets4allclassifieds.co.uk/lolas-story.html The proper dog men probably wouldnt even think of taking someones pet and useing it but its the jumped up idiots who think they are dog fighting men who are doing it.
  5. there is no sport in catching mixi rabs, you are better killing the mixi ones,to give the healthy ones a better chance of survival and not catching mixi,if the mixi reproduce the chances of survival are very slim i wasnt suggesting catching mixi rabbits was sport, if they have healthy babies that will be healthy next winter to catch surely that is better than catching and killing every rabbit in the district with mixi, then you deffo have no chance of repoplulation isn't mixi passed on by fleas? so surely taking out the mixi rabbits is reducing the spread of the fleas/disease and helping
  6. At one time yes - think it was the dava one they used to do it at, am sure thouse who are on hear with a lot more info on it will be able to say. In this day and age it has to be the saluki whos fastest, although if im honist ive never yet seen my deerhound kick in to that extra gear, she always holds back.
  7. If your willing to pay for it - then i would recomend you buy this, it gives you all the strech's and massage's that you need plus a lot of other stuff, its an e book, so you get it stright away. http://www.back-in-balance.co.uk/dog_back_problems.htm My beddy x has strained gracillus and the massage helps her although with my bitch i never kept her on crate rest, just kept her to no hard running.
  8. Do you have a split personality? i think your getting at the fact im saying to this chap i would not kill them yet i do? every 1 in say 20 i catch shows the sypmptons, and you have to go far to catch 20 rabbits here there is never really an epidemic, just the odd one or 2 recoverers. if i was in a situation where there was an epidemic then i would leave them be in the hope they would proudce sport for me next time. its just i disagree with the statement they are better off dead due to above reasons i mentioned. what im saying my circumstances are different to her but if i was ever in thos
  9. No worrys lol - shes been called all sorts of breeds over the years, even been called a sheep by one teenager
  10. Skycat said it better than i ever could On the turning out front feet - i went through it with my deerhound she did grow out of it.
  11. It could be with everything your giving him - your putting to much protein in to him, pups/dogs dont need cat food or milk and with pups that are going to grow larger you need to really give a lower protein food, personaly i would just stick to one either the raw or the complete and cut any hard running out. with the weight issue a lot of pups go through this - solong as there healthy and have energy it shouldnt matter if they look a bit skinny, once theyve grown to full size most will start to fill out. I would see the vet - as problems like these can rappidly go worse.
  12. If it was me i would probably just stick to the raw, she shouldnt need any extra fat or the racer nuts, as it will give her to much energy and put to much weight on her, just adjust her food if she puts to much weight on, giving extra fat when there not useing it up could lead to problems with the pancreas, as shes on raw she will get all the calcium she needs from that, especaly if you feed bones also. You could use the kong to give her - her meals, pack the raw meat in the kong and freeze it, that way it will take her longer and use up some of the energy she has, one thing i would wat

  14. Just a few pictures from a week away in pembrokeshire.
  15. Use them on dummys for the dogs. if you look on ebay - theres quite a few sell on there, cure them and stick them on as some go for a few quid each.
  16. Dont think thats right - a lot of dogs bites happen because theres something wrong I.E the dog could be in pain and a child pulls it around a lot of dogs give warnings first most often these are ignored and ignored and ignored, so the only way the dog can get through to anyone is to bite. I have a dog hear that has bitten - she came in to rescue after being found wondering with a shatterd leg - that was full of pellets, she bit the vet, the vet deemed her agressive and demanded she was pts, luckly for her the rescue and dog warden faught(sp) to save her life, she is the most lovable do

  19. If you do decide to get the boosters done next year - i would speak to the vet about it first.
  20. Unless its changed in the last few years, then it is suposed to be 10% +2 but it is at the discretion of the police if they want to pull you or not. Posted by a copper in 2008 ( http://www.ukpoliceonline.co.uk/index.php?/topic/26219-speed-law/ )

  24. Its nothing to do with Anthropomorphism - its down to the media, when you've got them reporting that people are going out with dogs ripping animals to shreds then your in a no win situation.
