  1. It is true what has happened. Quote from what Karen the owner has said. Karen hasn't set the giving page up saluki rescue have.
  2. Think what people forget is an adult dog can be just as much work to bring on as a pup - there are no short cuts. Ive seen a few come through rescue and have gone on to working homes and do very well. My own two have both come to me as rescues - one was 7 months Beddie x whippet/grey owners couldnt handle her although slow starting at first, shes showing a lot of potental - shes just turned two and shes now starting to come on more, although she came in as a rescue, i have found out who bred her and shes from working lines, shes marking well - covering well and will retrive - shes w
  3. Have a read of this. http://blackbeltdogtraining.com/articles_dogtraining/food_aggression.pdf With my dogs i do the same when they are youngsters, especaly with bones - i will sit down with them and hold the bone, if you use something like chicken necks, it will mean you can feed a few hold them for a minuite or so whilst they have a chew, then let them have it but sit there whilst there eating it - if they move away let them, dont go chaseing, when finished offer another and do the same again till they have all gone.
  4. Vinager or bitter apple on your hands/fingers etc I have two youngsters hear - both were well handled, but the hob has started to play nip, he's treating me like i was another ferret to play with a few times of handaling him with vinager on my hands and also hand feeding a little and the nipping has almost stopped, he will still try it on a little, but if i dont react he stops. P.S the vinager hasn't stopped him wanting to be handled - he will still come to me and will allow me to pick him up.
  5. Personally you would be stupid to set snares in a horses field - unless the horses are kept out for the duration, if one of the horses gets stuck in one your looking at a very big bill - its upwards of 250 to just get a vet out.
  6. At my vets the nurses will do the check up and despence The wormers, check up is free, they also do a lot of different Check ups free, for the proper lung worm treatment At my vets norths west area -Depending on dogs size 23kg dog would cost you 11.50 If you can't afford that you really shouldn't have dogs.
  7. small drop of jeys fluid mixed wif candys crystalls .make sure you see the dog boak like fxxk this kills the eggs Are you for real ? Your not actualy telling someone to poison their dog are you? Do you actualy know anything about dogs - as it sounds like you dont to me, LUNG worm, should give you an indication on where the worms and its eggs are, although they do travel round the blood stream and can be shead from the feaces. Once a dog has lung worm - you have to worm it simple as, making it puke or anything else will Not sort it, as the eggs and Larvae are in the lungs not

  12. Round near me we have very little problems with dogs, most are courteous and will put their dogs back on lead most dogs are very well socialized, we only have one bloke that's a problem - he has 3 bull breeds they are working dogs and he does work them - at least one of them is out of control, it looks like a ABT' x the amount of times its flew at my dogs and other peoples dogs, i wouldn't trust it as far as i could throw it, whilst its going at other dogs though - he walks off. Couple months ago his dogs perused 2 breeding swans on a little pond and killed them both - he had walked of

  15. With the 18-55 kit lenses there seems to be faults with them, mine doesn't work correctly in auto, it will auto focus if i turn it one way but not the other, nothing wrong with manual mode on it and for the price of them not worth fixing.

  17. Mine are done every 3 years - but lepto every year, the vaccine companys now say on there product it can last 3-4 years, its only certain vaccines though. If it was me, i would muzzle and ask the vet to do it outside in the car, i have a bitch hear bull x that hates vets and would probably bite them, i muzzle her and pin her against either me or the wall, hide her eyes whilst the vet sneaks round and does it.
  18. Sorry but they can - if found guilty, it will be up to the judge to say if the rspca are to keep the dogs or not, no matter if the owner refuses to sign the dogs over or not. DFK - whilst an investigation is on going they can keep hold of any evidance, as thats what they will be classing your dogs as.
  19. Its not illigal to self medicate or self treat your own dogs - only if you do it to someone elses or if the meds were obtained illigaly I.E. script meds being used not under vet guidence - you can get done if the animal needs vet attention and youve not done anything about it. I self treat and self medicate all my own dogs, only if its something i can not deal with will i take them to a vet - my own vets know this and are quite happy to give me advice if i ring them up or email them. Hope you get the dogs back.

  23. Thats a great tool, just checked mine lol. I check mine every time i change insurances, have only ever been pulled once in the 8 years of driving and that was because i forgot to mot my car, he also got me on needing a new tyre although he let me off with that and just gave me a warning and a producer for the mot, produced new mot a few days later and never heard anything again. 24. Best thing you can do is check to see if your vehicle is on the database - this is the one the police use, so if your on there, then the police can not pull you for no insurance, if they do and you know your on the database, then you have a case to complain. http://ownvehicle.askmid.com/
  25. The toad was a photo not to be missed, he was under some wood that needed to be tipped, so managed to get a few photos of him before relocating him else were in the garden, he was good and sat there whilst i took photos of him lol. That robin is one of a breeding pair, she has been coming for years - and is used to me taking photos she was only a few feet away from me, i just missed out on a photo of the male feeding her.
