  7. i enjoy a good night out on the rabbits imo rabbits provide some good sport. edited to say. having a good fallow buck turn on the dog makes for some interesting sport aswell.
  8. not excactly sure when it started but i know lads that have been doing it around here for the best part of 40yrs. i know when i was a young lad my father used a motorbike bike battery and a lr6 spot lamp off a car. you could always tell lampers of old because there cloths were often burnt by the acid that leaked out the batteries. these are three popular lamps that i can remember when i was a boy and ones i have used myself LR6 LR9 LR14. all used with a motorbike battery in a wooden box with car seatbelt for a carry strap, and a match broken off in the breather on the battery to

  12. just got back in from a quick session with the lamp my pup and old dog had 13 rabbits in total 12 to the big dog and 1 to my pup who is just under 5 months old and is coming on very well. i noticed on the last outing that the pup had started to make a put at the rabbits that were turning back to him and were within striking distance. early on in the walk tonite he showed great promise and was running well with my my old dog. the 12th caught rabbit of the night managed to avoid the clutches of the old dog by turning and going through a bunch of nettles only to appear out the otherside righ

You say you have just got back in trigger you posted this at 12.27. It's not dark till 10.30 11.00. Me personally think all these people that say they so 6-7 nights a week are mistaking a WALK with a nights lampin.. I take my dogs for a walk every day but it's not moochin it's just a walk when the season is in I do 2-3 nights a week, my dogs wouldn't be able to do 6-7nights a week but that maybe my fault as most the times when I go lampin the s

  21. dont you do the same thing in the day? seen plenty of dogs collapse from being slipped on stuff. whats graft in your eyes. Graft as nothing to do with how many times your out........FACT what is it then. Anybody can make a dog collapse by letting it run too much without enough recovery time. I know boys going out 5/6 times a week but only getting about 10 slips a night sometimes less.......would you call that grafting because I wouldn't.I graft my dogs hard most days up hills and mountains all day in my eyes they graft.
