  1. i dont know how you stand but i think its more of a case of a male copper showing off in front of a female copper. they most probably would of nicked you if they could. should try mugging people in the future they wont hassle you if they think your slightly dangerous. WANKERS got feck all better to do.
  2. almost all the unemployed dogs i know youve been out with and your dog are in two different leagues yours being in the lesser. you just havent done or seen enough to know the difference. theres more to it than you realise. I have got nothing to prove to anyone what my dog can and cannot do.Im pleased with him and the way he works and thats all that counts.I do not take pleasure in trying to run other peoples dogs into the ground,we are all in the same sport and its great to watch other types of dog work, regardless of who is employed or unemployed.I have not been in this game long, but enjoy
  3. Other than being a whippet . . . . . . But aye, too true about the fecking breaking! never had any problems with the laguna breaking that i lamped all those rabbits with. and ive lamped on the same ground as my big dog. even the small whippets had been impresive with there lack of injurys. The one's I've seen have all gotten injuries, mostly little tears that on a whippet peel like a orange due to there lyrca like skin. Not saying they're shit because I know they ain't just wouldn't be my choice and the thing that would deter me from getting one is they wouldn't suit where I r

But aye, too true about the fecking breaking! never had any problems with the laguna breaking that i lamped all those rabbits with. and ive lamped on the same ground as my big dog. even the small whippets had been impresive with there lack of injurys. perhaps ive just been lucky with them
  5. she was brought in as a full laguna and having seen a few since then i will say she is a full laguna. the dog in the pics is my dog as the whippet wasnt with me when i took the pics as it was the morning after. ive been out with 17" and 18" whippets and had bags in there 20s and even done a 31 thats running doubled with my dog again.( running dogs single handed and doubled up are 2 different stories.) but my point is they can have good stamina if you put the correct time into them.
  6. hers a couple of pics of some nights out with my dog an a laguna whippet. run the dogs doubled up and the whippet was still running stong at the end of the night plenty of stmina at the time. 51 rabbits 52 rabbits
  7. collie Xs are good dogs. but they can develop a habbit of picking and choosing there runs, which is something you dont really want if your on small fields with short grass an lightning fast rabbits imo. but at the same time they can be excellent if they dont pick up the collie traits. my dogs got a 1/4 collie in him, although i wouldnt change him for the world i will not be going down the collie route again anytime soon. the beddy/whippet great little dogs loads of prey drive can be handy both day and night. if its your first dog they can have a tendency to be a little head strong. yet ive
  8. never used them always put plenty of time into a dog when young to put the stamina in them from the start.
  9. ive got 2 dogs now one is 4.5 months and the other will be 7yrs in september. did have a dog and two bitches but give the bitches to a good friend as i didnt have enough work for all 3 of them.

  11. what lines did you have? what they like on small and big fields? never been out with any good line bred whippets always with none peds 19 to 21 inches. if you put the time into them you can go out and catch double figures no problem. they can be ideal on small fields and can work well on big fields. catching rabbits on big fields is all about getting into the right position no matter what dog you are using, you can catch rabbits on a big field with a whippet as well as you can with a big dog as long as you are sensible and get yourself in the right position. ive seen some whippets wi
  12. ive seen and lamped some o.k whippets on the rabbits.
  13. whats a achievement in your eyes then? deer dogs had a hard life when they were doing them regular.
  14. she looked to me as though she will be o.k for the rabbits mate.
  15. And mine are............I even take them to sign on with me!
  16. the majority of best dogs i have seen have all been owned by people who dont work. what a dog catches at the end of the night/day/week counts and for those that say it dont, imo they have never owned a good dog. dogs that do little work always look impressive as they put everything they got into each run. heavily worked dogs are steady.
  17. the dog will be up and running faster than you think. atb trigger
  18. ive seen them little dogs do some amazing stuff.
  19. atb with dog. should be some where near up and running sometime in the begining of the saeson
  20. when are they in season its tricky that. i always thought that seasons varied depending on colour and religion. i might be wrong though.
  21. ha ha i will give u 10-1 if u want kharn and i will have mayweather :vava: lol surley its a mismatch whats kharn thinking its prob because hes traing with pac man lol he must think he is a big boy now his balls have droped he wants knockin out big time all he does is fight shit so he wins thats a spot on statement.
  22. i think that the amount of bad dogs about these days is down to the fact that there are so many bad dog men about. imo the quality of dogs has changed over the years and not for the better, the true lurcher man is as rare as a good dog these days. working dogs is more a hobby these days for most folk.
