  1. would you like a night out with me and vin sometime this season mate.
  2. i cant see why not. the weather, terrain, and size of fields would play a large part in it. ive had 7 inside a hour with a dog decided not to carry on as they were bloody awkward to carry. he was older than 12 months though.
  3. if the dog was bred from last season/year for the reason of keeping a pup and you lost it i dont see any reason why shouldnt breed again for a pup. you thought the bitch was good enough to breed from before the only thing that should have changed is she is older.
  4. its good to be out for the walk/mooch. all going well thats the first of many, atb for the season.
  5. ive got no qualifications at all. i was only allowed in school for 2 days a week for the last 18 months.
  6. any time mate. would have had 20 in the bag if someone hadnt forgot to dispatch one of the rabbits .
  7. i disagree with that statement mate, theres been more than enough dogs ruined that have been started from the age of 9 months onwards. its easy to ruin any dog if you dont work them sensible dont matter what age.
  8. how well do you think my 6 month old pup would do there mate hes caught a few on the lamp.
  9. old snipe done well, thats a bloody good couple of lamping sessions youve had lately.
  10. well done lads. made my 19 look a bit poor.
  11. i will be there its a day out.
  12. well done lads. good read that jai. its good to see milly is running well. if you take finn out a couple of times on the lamp i reckon he will suprise you.
  13. i take my dogs out as soon as they have had there first jab. the pup i have at the moement is 6 and a half months old now and is catching almost everytime i go out, and i started him at 7 and a half weeks. my old dog went out from 8 weeks old he hes 7 years old next week and still going strong.
  14. the weather tonight is looking very good for lamping here. if the winds up with a bit of rain or theres either just rain or a good wind it wouldnt hurt to take your dog out for a run as the conditions will help out your dog. imo it shouldnt hurt to take the dog out tonight providing the weathers good.
  15. i am out with the pup tonight. the weather is almost perfect here.
  16. theres a dog of old which is a legend round this way and was very well known for miles around. he was around 2 years old when his owner got him and it took him ages to get the dog to chase anything but the dog come right in the end. as i have said he was a legend not just in the owners eyes but the eyes of everyone who ever had the opertunity to watch him work.
  17. a friend of mine had one i lamped her a fare few of times, she wasnt over blessed with bottle and her tail curled over her back like a pigs tail lol. she was a nice friendly bitch stood at 24tts, i saw one of her brothers he stood at 26tts and looked a smart dog. but looks dont catch quarry.
  18. hes got some trust in his product. i wouldnt of done it.
  19. i usally feed my dogs in the mornings. when i am working them i will feed in the morning as usall then give them a small feed upto 4 hours before i go out depending on how hard a night i think i will be having. not feeding a dog for 24hours before running them imo is a load of bollox and bloody dangerous for the dog. many a time ive seen dogs run without being fed for 24 hours and they have collapsed everyone with the same problem there blood sugar levels have dropped and some have started to fit which sometimes can cause death. the drop in sugar levels i would say is down to the lack of
