On the topic of shooting, I just seen this "plus late season hare shoots and bag numbers from 100 to 300+ head days." http://www.angliasporting.co.uk/gameshooting Now im not knocking shooting BUT is 100-300 a day a lot to take of "wild game"? Pheasants fair enough they are put down in numbers to be shot but the Hare is on its own from the start, if you had a few days I wonder could there numbers return the following year?

After checking the bitch over last night when we got in I noticed she had done a real one on her toenail, I've cleaned it with salt water and left it open but it does look like a bad one, is it something that needs looking at by a vet or can I just keep it clean and her on a lead until its back to normal if it will go back to normal, its not bothering her the slightest but I could do with a bit of advise if anyone with experience can comment, thanks.

I think the Irish lads should be writing into the paper explaining their issues with this biased and propaganda laid article, and also question the authors affiliation to AR groups, I didn't like slapping pics up and still don't but the more this happens the more we need to stand up and fight and promote not duck and hide, maybe any Irish CA members can ask them to get involved and oust the author, there should be away to get at these scum publicly Atb Mick

I keep rabbit heads and freeze them it keeps the ferrets busy when it warms up and the seasons over, I also aways skin rabbits before feeing dogs as I don't want to risk the dog deciding to chow down on them in the field Atb Mick

Padiham mate, rest I caught were healthy I'll try and knock em over but time will tell I supposethe thing is it was only a couple of weeks ago I was telling my cousin 'I've not seen mixy local to me'! put my foot in it there didn't I Thanks all for the input Mick It was round hapton not long back , looks like its reached your way now . Its a shame , the rabbit population has never been that big round here and everytime it looks to be getting better it goes bad again . The land i have over harwood had a fair few a couple of years back but in the space of 2 weeks you were lucky to see one

Been hunting the local Rabbits as long as I can remember, cant recall ever seeing it here, until the bitch retrieved one last night with swelling on its eyes, gutted to say the least its my best local bit, my question in your experience is how fast does it spread and should I not let it rest and hit the same spot every night and get as many mixy ones as I can or would that be a futile attempt to stop the inevitable?

this kid knows the craic,if the dog gets hurt it gets hurt nothing you can do but if he comes back and says it got killed he has to show the body,i know 1 was supposed to be killed out hunting ended up it was sold,turned up at a fair about 3yrs later.anyway the wee cxt has my dog fit as fxxk lol. Fair enough mate, I admit I have major trust issues when it comes to my dogs but if the dogs happy good for you pal, again I couldn't do it though.

If they were introduced today within 10 years there would need to be a cull, and the hunters won't be allowed to hunt them that would be barbaric, it would have to be government backed cull using our money, it does make you think what planet are these idiots from?
