  1. How are you doing Franny? This is the man that takes more prize money out of the dog track at Gretna than Wullie Hyslop.

  3. If you keep going on like that you'll have to change your username. Seriously though if I were in your position I'd have to have a zeroing session because there is obviously something amiss.

  5. It's not always a case of the ferret killing and lying up when they don't come out. Some times they end up on the wrong side of a rabbit in a stop end then if another one or two rabbits jam the first rabbit in the ferret finds itself stuck up behind 3 rabbits. It might take it a long time to get back out,but if you've got a locator it's just a simple case of digging down to the stuck ferret. I must admit to ferreting for many years without a locator, but after using one I wouldn't be without one now.
  6. I'm surprised the rats love them. Very nice rifles lads.

    GOLF THERAPY

Two women were playing golf. One teed off and watched in horror as her ball headed directly toward a foursome of men playing the next hole. The ball hit one of the men. He immediately clasped his hands together at his groin, fell to the ground and proceeded to roll around in agony. The woman rushed down to the man, and immediately began to apologise. 'Please allow me to help. I'm a Physical Therapist and I know I could relieve your pain if you'd allow me, she told him. 'Oh, no, I'll be all right. I'll be fine in a few minutes,' the man replied.

  11. better still................... a vet I'll give you an account I had at the vets recently. One of the greyhounds I was running had performed well below par in a race on the friday night,so on the saturday morning I took him into the local vets who diagnosed sore tendons below the back of his wrist.I was told not to run the dog for at least six weeks,if I did the dog could be finished. He offered me some Metacalm [an antinflammatory] which I politley refused. Luckily for me [and the dog] a friend of mine was travelling over to Brian Jones [a specialist greyhound vet] in Ireland with

  16. Two English businessmen in London - were sitting down for a break in their 'soon-to-be' new store. The store wasn't ready as yet, and had only a few shelves set up. One said to the other, 'I bet any minute now some thick tourist is going to walk by, put his face to the window and ask what we're selling.' No sooner were the words out of his mouth when, sure enough, a curious Scotsman walked to the window, had a peek, and in a broad Scottish accent asked, 'What are you selling here ?' One of the men winked at the other, and replied, sarcastically, 'We're selling a

  18. My youngest son Brodie had his first time out ferreting this morning,[he's only 18 months old].I'm not that keen to ferret at this time of the year but I'd been asked to get some rabbits for a friend so Jimmy and I had a couple of hours out and I took Brodie along as well. The wee fella was no bother at all and he seemed to take in most of what was going on around him. I must admit that he started to feel the cold on his ears near the end as he wouldn't keep his hood up.Jimmy and I managed to get 10 rabbits which will keep the lad happy for the time being. Some pics of this morning.
