  1. You have every right to be buzzing Russ, 5 out of 7 for a raw pup is fantastic. As skycat says take it easy with him as there is a chance of him damaging himself at such a young age. Sounds like he's going to be a good un.
  2. Get them out there catching rabbits then they'll be feeding themselves.
  3. Spot on Sean. Sgtbenadair what pellets was the gun tested with, because as Sean points out it would make a difference.
  4. They look well made boxes TITCHY. Here's a pic of one of mine,I make them with a sloping lid which let's the rainwater run off.
  5. Agreed to a point chartpolski, but the lamp has a say in how long the battery lasts,or should I say the size of the bulb in the lamp. The bigger the wattage of the bulb the quicker it will drain the battery.
  6. I got a shock when I had my .22 S410K chronoed and it read 9.9ft/ib with Crossman Accupell. Before I knew what power it was throwing out I killed hundreds of rabbits with it,all the way out to 45 yards.

Aye that's right mate,Man U have spent feck all on players.
  8. I'm a neutral jasper and I thought Chelsea were the better team over the 120 minutes. Man U were in control in the first 30 minutes after that Chelsea took over. I'm not surprised Sir Alex took Rooney off he wasn't at the races. As for Rio Ferdinand,if you were to take Vidic out of that defence he'd be up shit creek without a paddle. In my opinion Avram Grant made a big mistake taking off Joe Cole and replacing him with Anelka, what did he do when he came on.
  9. I've always found the opposite frost. The darker the night the brighter the beam appears and the lighter the night the beam seems dimmer. If you think the beam is too bright get a red filter for it,I've got one on my lazerlight all the time.
  10. Your boy looks as keen as mustard. It's good to see some youngsters getting into the sport, all the best for your future hunting Ferret Kid.
  11. Tote, i surgest you learn to add up!!! 5MONTHS IS 20WEEKS!! 5 MONTHS AND 2WEEKS IS 22 MONTHS!! AND 6MONTHS IS """""24"""""WEEKS!!! Whats a mith? It's p
  12. Yeah he still has 2 weeks till 24 weeks, and if he is still averageing an inch a week, he will hit 21" by that time, just like yours. cheers You said in your post he was 5 months 2 weeks. Which is 2 weeks short of 6 months[26 weeks] which would make him 24 weeks or seemingly not. When was the pup born runforyourlife? At 22 weeks my two were 20.72" and 22" and went on to make 24" and 25" but like I said earlier he'll make what he makes. 13. That's some distance leeclackster. At what range did you zero the rifle in at? And how low would it be hitting at 60 yards? its all in the shooting mate what can i say been doing this 20 years zero at 35 yds Did you know what the pellet drop was at 60 yards or did you take a guess?

  15. I would say 26" is about average for a bitch. As for confirming she's quick enough for what? Catching rabbits dogs with little or no greyhound in their make up can catch rabbits.Racing is a totally different game.
  16. At the same age,[24 weeks] my last two lurchers stood 21.5" and 23". They went on to make 24" and 25". My guess would be about 22" though as others have already said, it doesn't really matter. Edited to add,a few years back my nephew got a 3/4 collie X 1/4 greyhound. The sire stood 24" and the dam 21",the pup topped off at 19.5" which goes to show you never can tell.

  18. You could also try asking the wife to do it for you.
  19. To end up with the figures you have,11.8 ft/lb/Daystate 15.9 grain and 11.6 ft/lb /Accupell 14.3 grain it would be impossible for the Daystate pellets to have a faster velocity. Daystate pellets at 15.9 grain giving out 11.8 ft/lb would have a velocity of 578 ft/sec. Accupells at 14.3 grain giving out 11.59ft/lb would have a velocity of 604 ft/sec. This is a good site for working out pellet performance. http://extorian.co.uk/shooting/pellets.html
  20. I'm sure both of the guns will be spot on mate. I'm not so sure it's a good idea to advertise on an open forum that you are a bigamist.
  21. I had a walk out tonight and managed to put 7 rabbits in the bag.The best shot of the session was a free standing 41 yarder.
  22. If you really want to find out where the pellet hit the rabbit skin it,including the head. Then you'll know for sure.
  23. I know what you mean mate. But what would you do if the landowner asked you to shoot the does and the young ones And if you didn't you'd end up losing your permission. We all know how hard it can be to get good ground to shoot on.
