  1. Thanks for the replies lads. What about the rest of you lads with AA S410's what pellets do you use?
  2. There's also some on ebay. http://search.ebay.co.uk/search/search.dll...NG+AND+TRAPPING++
  3. Plenty on here mate. http://www.bookfinder.com/search/?ac=sl&am...2520gamekeepers
  4. Okay lads I'm looking for some advice.I've just bought a s410k in .177 and would like to know what pellets you lads that have the same gun use.I use Crossman Accupel in my s410k .22 calibre and find them spot on. When I bought the gun I was also given a tin of Air Arms Field pellets, this is the first time I've seen or used them.I can't believe how many of these pellets have damaged skirts,I'm not talking about small dinks in the skirts, some are hexagonal shaped. I spoke to someone at the Air Arms offices and was told they must have been damaged in transit, but I wasn't to worry about t
  5. Well duck, that is either a brave or stupid post, or maybe both. Because you have not said otherwise I assume you are talking about sub 12ft/lb. In which case you should not be taking a shot at anything 70 yards away. But you did, and you got lucky. Out of interest how high did you have to aim to pull of this amazing feat. By my calculations Tote, a medium weight .22 pellet fired from a sub 12ftlb gun would have dropped about 3 feet at 70 yds.if it was a .177 it would have still dropped about 22 inches.I cant be precise as my software only shows pellet drop to 50yds for su
  6. Up untill last week I had been toying with the idea of getting a BSA Tactical or Lightning . That all changed when I had a go with my mates BSA tactical,I wasn't taken on by it at all. Now I admit it's been a good few years since I shot a springer but I couldn't believe how harsh the recoil was. I know they are a bit more expensive and you would have to buy a pump or bottle but I would go for a Air Arms S410, I've got two,one in .177 calibre the other in .22. I would highly recommend them.

    Mole Trapper

All the best Mole Trapper I hope you're out and about soon.
  9. At least she's keeping a hold of the rabbit which gives you something to work with.Have you tried walking away from her after she's caught a rabbit? Or crouching down and encouraging her to come in to you?
  10. Tyla what does she do when she catches a rabbit?
  11. Every time my bitch jumps an obstacle she let's one go.
  12. Can't agree with that mate 7 months for me is still a bit young, the bitch has her own way of telling him. I would of thought this was the worst time of year to start a young dog. Nearly all the rabbits will be educated to the beam by now, won't they. Slip when you do decide to try the bitch again you might like to do what I sometimes do when I'm starting younger dogs.I ask my mate to come with us and bring his air rifle.I let him shoot the rabbits and get the pup to retrieve them. I can't see the benefit of taking a pup out with a crowd of folk and dogs, Too much going on to distra
  13. Can't believe you posted that one. All the rabbits I've caught this season have had fleas.
  14. I went out for an hour or so with Amy and the jill ferret this morning as one of my mates had asked me to get him a couple of rabbits.I found the rabbits hard to come across and after ferreting nine buries there was only one rabbit in the bag. When I got the second rabbit from the tenth burie I took the nets off and let the rabbits bolt for the bitch. She got two short runs and both the rabbits managed to get down the nearest burie before Amy got a strike in.
  15. You want to stop taking those magic mushrooms when you're out in the fields celtic.
  16. What's the difference between an oven and a fanny? An oven doesn't fart when you take the meat out.

  18. hi airgunner thanks mate im not sure either I had an Original 45 back in the mid 1980's and found it to be a really accurate gun. If memory serves me well I believe they were made in Germany by RWS/Original which I think were the same company though I'm not sure. I've been hunting for one for years Davy,if the gun you've been offered is in decent condition then it's a steal at that price.
  19. Well done lads. Snoop that was good of you to give the lad an invite.
  20. Great action shots there Moorman. Without doubt as good as I've seen on here.
  21. I must admit I've enjoyed myself this season with Amy,I missed the start of the season as the bitch was still young. But as the months passed and she grew a bit older we were out regularly.Last thursday Amy caught rabbit number 100 [she's still not 13 months]which might not be a lot compared to some others but I'm happy with the tally. The only injury she's suffered so far is a broken dew claw but it was covered over and she continued working.
  22. Unripped, try and forget about it Mark,it'll just age you quicker. The bitch can do the business Mark. How's she bred and what height is she?

Welcome aboard milo, hope you enjoy the ride.
  24. Jimmy and I spent an hour at the local playing fields today sorting out his 100 yard net. He decided to turn it into 2 X 50 yarders, which will make it easier for him to pick it up. We are now ready for the next windy night or an order for some rabbits then we'll be back out for another drop.
