    one thing is for sure there is far too much money involved in it. where there is money there is corruption, kinda go hand in hand, so if you have a decent mutt either sell it and get big bucks or keep stump and just enjoy watching them do what they do. you cant have your cake and eat it, brag about it and it will be on some low lifes hit list.

    use the spaniel! they are prob the best of the options you listed for very tight cover, i have beagles and springer beagles but when they meet charlie its time to get on your bike!

    i dunno brenna, im not saying anyone is telling lies but vinnie was stolen on the 3rd jan and was replaced with another dog by the 11th jan...... why tell everyone about the new dog when the pen gate was barely closed from the first one being lifted out of it?? just comes accross as being strange that the new dog is the business and vinnie is forgotten about..... again my opinion and i wish him the best with his new dog but id be keeping stump about it if it was me. atb.

    this is the weirdest topic on here in a while........ i cant seem to make sence of it, surely if the mans dog was lifted he would be still looking for the dog and i defiantly couldnt replace one of mine that got nicked that quick, secondly if he is replaced is it such a good idea letting everyone know you have another ball of money tied up in another dog for him to be targetted aswell?? this is a bit too obvious tho so there is more to this story than meets the eye i think....... imo

    crazy..... what would happen if you refused point blank to let them have the stuff? if they arrested you over it and had no proof of badger baiting they couldnt hold you too long but you would still have your gear when they leave you out...... no?

    fingers crossed for ye lads, hopefully some of the dogs recovered are the ones lifted from the lads on here...

    strenght in numbers lads. if a group of lads from here got together and organised to pay know dog thieves a visit at random and just have a "quite word" with them and check there yard. do one dog thief a week and maybe if it was seen that there was repecutions for stealing dogs it might make them think twice. it would be very easy to organise and will if nothing else show them that the law may not touch them but there is sombody there who will........... bit far fetched but there is no point in sitting back and watching new cases of stolen dogs pop up on here every second day and saying this h

    if you were in trouble with dog thieves and had an idea who took them and where your dogs were then a simple post on here would do the trick for you im sure. there are plenty of decent lads on here that wouldnt see another man stuck in a predicament like that. hunting lads have a code of conduct, that doesnt just apply to how you conduct yourself in the field but the unwritten code is how you treat you own, especially when they are in trouble or needing help..... i for one would never see any of the older lads i know in the game stuck if i thought i could help in some way or lend a hand.

    time to pull out the trump card! if there wasnt a problem with the ends getting pulled off ask bellman and flint why they re-designed the new collar and have the end caps placed differently in the new collars, ie end caps encased in the clear tube rather than prominant at the ends like they always were....... im not an expert i just use them! https://www.bellmanandflint.co.uk/images/detail/1905.jpg
