  1. its horses for courses, they arent bred to be an all out earth dog, they did go to ground and work, badly i have to say they but did the job at the same time, a terrier bred to work below will obviously make these teckles look inferior at ground work, be pretty poor terriers if they didnt! but they are decent to hunt up cover and track deer, and give tongue from what ive been told of them and are a bit of a jack of all trades and master of none! one mans rubbish is another mans treasure!! if they wernt some use im sure the breed would be long dead.
  2. lovely animal, id like to see the bigger pic tho!!
  3. a 19 year old in carlow died last night half way through his nomination aswell...........body recovered from the river.
  4. surprised when i saw this one!! https://www.(!64.56:886/photo.php?v=1398122453778899
  5. he throws a good looking pup doesnt he.
  6. well done to them boys, that would be a fair test of patience!! i hope she doesnt catch summit from holding her rituals with rotten decaying fox carcasses!! the extremes some people go to is unbelievable.
  7. A crap 4x4??? This a joke? Set of tyres like any jeep needs and you'll not get better. As for comfort I agree. i agree with you lab, they are a mighty machine, an agricultural vehicle!! i had one for a couple of years, they do need maintenance when they push on in years but parts are very cheap for them nowadays. i dont think any jeep is a good option if you have a small budget, they all cost good money to keep em going, especially if used as only mode of transport. ive had landcruisers, a pajero(very short time) ford ranger, hiluxs, a defender, now i have a 2.2 crdi 4x4 hond
  8. cheers sailor, appriciate that mate.
  9. so these cats might not have been the wild ferral cats you talked about earlier but maybe sombodys PET TOM cat that was looking for some new territory...... look i cant stand cats, funnily im from a big family and we all hate cats! i rear pheasants and any cat that comes near my pens are humainly dispatched, (shot) pet or not they shouldnt be there and are well away from there homes if they are a pet, they pose a threat to the young birds and have to be treated like any other vermin. the difference here is these lads intentionally caught them to blood the dogs, thats obvious by the videoin
  10. do you think the people that steal dogs are hunters dont think so there just thieves mate no in to dogs jmo no pal if im honest i dont think genuine hunters would steal other lads dogs, but there have been a few stories put up here lately with names and they have been into dogs and ferrits for a long time but steal them aswell as work them!!!
  11. as been pointed out earler you should be a responsible pet owner and keep your cat under control and not let it stray and kill other peoples pets, likewise if it watsnt wandering chances are the cat itself mite not have been killed........ two examples of bad ownership on your part! the method of humainly dispatching what they had caught was not enforced, intead they got pleasure out of leaving not 1, not 2 but 4 dogs kill them, and the same mentality to video lurchers on badgers......... is this a good mentality for normal hunting people?? if it is im far from normal!! so i strongly
  12. true, if one hunter is willing to take another hunters dogs then id imagine respect for fellow hunters means little anymore and grassing on each other is wouldnt cost a thought....
  13. it is to try and highlight the consequences of being a plonker!! read some of the comments and you decide if everyone on here knows this is wrong..... this mental attitude and macho videos will only bring down lurchers and terriers. this topic highlights what not to do.
  14. great result. just goes to show its never too late.
  15. thats a generous gesture. a big help to some folk i bet, if there was a few more like you the recovery rate may be a bit better than it is. would anyone else on here offer the same assistance? yes I would mate I f*****g hate thieves and liars I can honestly say I would boot any fuckers door in and set about who ever is in the house even tooled up if need be if they have stole any of my dogs and I would go with anyone who has had a dog stolen if they had enough evadince thats a generous gesture. a big help to some folk i bet, if there was a few more like you the recovery rate may be a bit bet
  16. some of the comments from lads on here would make you want to hang up your boots and get out of the game. how anyone thinks videoing 4 dogs killing trapped pet cats is ok is a fuking MORON......and video lurchers on badgers aswell, alot of folk on here go to extreme measures to promote and protect what we do and some of our own turn around and say this is nothing just shows how decent lads are fooling themselves....... make ya sick.

  19. yea they get targetted aswell. springers particularly from what im hearing. they handy for flushing to lurchers as we all know but some who dont hunt have realised this lately and are gone nuts stealing them to use with lurchers.
  20. yea im aware of that, but that doesnt stop a club being setup and manned by some of yer own to keep account of pedegrees and bloods, simple as if you want to match your dog it has to be club registered...... every man to himself here man club registered you sound like a SF voter edited to avoid an arguement!!
  21. yea im aware of that, but that doesnt stop a club being setup and manned by some of yer own to keep account of pedegrees and bloods, simple as if you want to match your dog it has to be club registered......
  22. how ya doin iceman mate, i agree with the big money dogs going into hiding and never being run again but used to breed decent off spring that can be run but never traced. out of curiosity would it be possible to start a club or federation with a dog registration process, like they do with horses and greyhounds. i know its big money but there is big money in coursing and surely if dogs were blood typed before they are registered to properly compete in the comps then it surely rule out the expensive dogs being stolen plus generate more money to legit stud dogs and put everyone on a more level
  23. have to tatally agree, if anyboby came in with proof it was there dresser its you that would be out of pocket nans pat, so it pays to do you background checking, if you dont do it and are found in possesion then its not looking so good for your good self!!
  24. funny isnt it, the most common things lads say on the stolen dog threads is "its somebody you know", "i bet they are on here" and "name and shame the c**ts"..... funny how "some of the lads on here" arent too impressed now that the naming and shaming has begun......... just a thought..... feathers ruffled maybe????
  25. thats the shot, bring back the electric chair!! he must of used your mans legs as a trampolene!!!
