not been lure fishing for a few years tried all kinds used to get them from harris angling. but had better sucess using spoons especially in the lake district.

go on the working bedlington forum. theres some lads on there who will give you some good advice who run beddie crosses.

i use a beddy for ferreting. best nose of any dog ive owned. very good marking dog.will hunt up non stop.one big plus point of the breed is their scenting ability.the downside training him certainly wasnt easy compared to the lurchers ive had.mule headed i think is the word.

if the dog marks put in the jill and put the hob in behind her see if he follows her on. not all ferrets work .i have owned one i couldnt get it to work for love nor money. give it time and keep trying. good luck. i dont mean this to sound rude but are you confident with the dogs marking

could be as above.was this the first time you have had it out?i know the bloke says it worked before but has it?also could be down to previous bad handling ie being snatched up when coming out.
