  12. a easy way i found was to put the collar on when they were having a drink of (goats) milk. then just let them run round for a while with it on. after a while they accept it no bother and just handle them as much as you can.
  13. all i know is his first litter he was mated to a border collie. the pups are a year old they went to people who take part in kennel club agility some went to be trained as search and rescue dogs.i dont know how many litters he has sired to greyhounds.

  15. dont worry about it.one of the best dogs i have ever seen work would not pick up as a young dog. he came good in time. your pup is what it is a young pup. it is just lacking the confidence to put in a strike. it will happen just be patient. good luck with your pup.
  16. nice pup.advice same as above. just take small steps at a time.make it enjoyable for the pup. looks like your doing a good job with her. seen quite a few of these types work . made great little ferreting/mooching dogs. good on rabbits and vermin.good luck with her.

  19. working on a construction site 27 years ago. i was 20 at the time, one bloke started talking about his lurchers catching rabbits hares with them. turned out we only lived a few miles apart. asked could i come to see the dogs work. went out every weekend in season for 2 years before i got my first pup. then progressed from there.
  20. a bitch called misty saluki lurcher cross collie lurcher.only ran her on rabbits and hares.couldnt really fault her. always gave 100%.she had stamina to burn.only a small bitch 23 but she meant the world to me.

  24. i suppose a lot of people would like to own the ultimate killing machine but how many exist?who would sell one and at what price. how many dogs added up to the total of 2 grand.if i owned one and i never have i certainly wouldnt sell it.
  25. a bedlington whippet will work cover flush mark catch rabbits. make a good vermin dog. the ones ive seen had decent temperaments. i own a bedlington terrier will do all of the above apart from catch rabbits on the run. temperament wise he is a quiet dog great with people kids and other dogs. i much prefer lurchers but terriers can make handy little rabbiting dogs bushing marking etc. good luck with your search.
