  1. a lot of terriers will make good bushing dogs. ive had jacks that did the job. at the momement got a beddie. does not stop hunting up. best nose of any dog ive owned. great temperamemt around people,other dogs no problem to stock break. great with ferrets.face any cover. on the downside quite a stubborn little dog. obedience training took a lot longer than i anticipated.good luck with your choice.
  2. my old mentor had whippet/beddies for 30 years. he loved them dogs. every dog i saw had a great nose,great little hunting up /ferreting dogs. they could find mark catch rabits no problem.they were only used in the day. quite a bit of feather were caught by these dogs.he is 70 now and still works dogs.
  3. just not mentally mature enough yet. it will come in time. enjoy the pup because thats all it is. different dogs develop at different times to others. stick with it and do your best by it.this time next year you should have the makings of a good dog with sensible input from yourself.good luck.

  6. over a period of 6 months i would not expect the readings to change in a ideal world. a domestic property has a maximum of 10 years between periodic tests. if it is rented it should be tested when there is a change of renter.there are factors which can cause test result changes. ie damage,wear tear,corrosion,excessive electrical loading ageing etc.it is the installation as a whole which is tested.so it is hard to say as things can go wrong. but on the other hand i have seen people just write in results without even testing. the test equipment should be calibrated.if the test results vary on a

  8. had that problem for years local back in the eighties never great numbers of rabbits. not so with hares[preban] there were always plenty around. they are what i concentrated on.had to travel for rabbits.apart from the first few years never a numbers man. enjoyed the sport. i can understand your frustration.atb.

  12. cant use a lurcher on my permission. i have a beddie spot on marking dog. will never catch a heathy rabbit on the run,but hopefully not too many slip a net. all the permission is in woodland and he does the job fine.
  13. in our local paper everyweek. people who have commited crimes etc. the number of foreign drivers with no insurance is on the up and up. hope you get the van sorted.
  14. much improved jab. better combinations. putting power into his punches. needs to concentrate more on defence. good improvement from last time.
