    I once trained one of my dogs in Persian it didn't hear any other language it is the tone and pronunciation much more than the actual words spoken. And repeat certain actions with certain sounds the dog with repetition will respond, Dogs can read demeanour and mood by tone and movements many people in a house can control a dog even though the tone of the voice is very different. I also trained a dog to f**k off when i told it to come to me and come to me when I told it to f**k off , it would be usefull now if plod told you to call your dog while out running LOL

    Even a dominant dog or bitch in a pack will one day be challenged by a younger dog its the pack nature. When bitches start in season in a pack this can also provoke skirmishes within the pack. There are so many variables in dogs and pack behaviour that as you cannot be with the pack 24/7 you have to take certain precautions.     The Youth of today is the wrong thing to put age knows no limits when it comes to stupidity and cruelty. Don't forget these young lads were brought into the dog game probably by older generation, However they way the have been taught and showed hunting practice has been totally wrong they and their teachers are wankers plain and simple.     Homeopathic and Aliopathic medicine both have positive and negative points . The major point is that if something is used and proved to be beneficial then it should be used. Natural remedies have a far longer track record than some of the chemically engineered stuff so people make their own minds up but why go to the doctor to get a prescription and pay 8 pound something for a medicine you can go in Tesco and buy of the shelf for a pound. A person who observes and listens will in time learn how to care and treat a dog themselves without having to run to the vet every time it breaks wind.

    why boil up the breast of lamb ?if over boiled the veg looses its vitamin content and the ribs will become brittle better feed raw and make a gravy even from a stock cube to moisten the food.

    What age is the bitch ? if she is 3/4 saluki then she will not fill her frame until at least 3 years old. Also saturated saluki,s and pures do not do well on a very high protein diet reduce the protein content or better still feed raw lamb ,mutton or chicken with brown bred rusk some minced veg and a spoon of suet in it pin bones usually are just visible and the last 3 ribs should be just visible don't get it looking like miss universe as salukis have different muscle structure to hounds.     theres an old saying with running dogs "All ways leave one in the tank" don't run a dog until it is dehydrated a fit dog should be good for a few hard runs if it dehydrates to the extent that acidosis happens then the dogs really in trouble and drips are usually needed so just know your dogs and what is enough for them

    I am going on 65 now I know what your saying about the arse over tit LOL I just tell the younger lads its an old red indian trick to test the ground with your nose to see if its soft enough to run. I do long slips now so my dogs have to run harder don't catch any where near as many as I used to but still enjoy the daywalking I started at 4 years old with salukis and still love it as much now as I did when a kid though the terrain is different and the tree huggers are more numorous now than the trees they are hugging.The running will continue as long as dogs and quarry are around

    as long as I have a dog to run and game to find I will be out, maybe a lot slower as the years go by but if its in the blood what can you do , life is to short so enjoy it as long as you can.
