Do You Run You Dogs On Ploughed Fields
desertbred replied to bigoy19706's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
My experience is most dogs will catch on plough as long as it isnt too hard , thats why Hares get off as soon as they can. Lamping hares on plough doesn't sound much fun or much of a test for the dog. surely coursing on wet heavy plough is near the ultimate test for a running dog for obvious reasons Coursing on wet heavy plough wouldnt test coursing ability it may test the stamina of the dog to a certain extent, but a good drilled field or short seed will better test a dogs capabilities in both speed skill and if it is a 4/5 minute plus course then the dogs stamina and wind will al -

A lot of alledged coursintg lads will scout out plough to slip on some of the slower stronger dogs like to get out on the claggy stuff then the stamina kicks in more than the speed especially for the dogs , if the long eared ones get on top they can still get their ears back and make a race of it.Not into lampintg so cant really comment wouldnt fancy runnintg on a heavy plough on the lamp especially with a sharpish dog but could be wrong -
Keep the bitch walking during the 21 days so she maintains a reasonable level of fitnesss, she will run flat , very flat in some instances but if the fitness is maintained the sooner the return to form A lot of the old greyhound lads used to keep the bitches off for months but track dogs need more explosive bouts of speed and a lot of bitches carry excess weight coming in and going out of season. A lot of lads now get bitches jabbed up and carry on working them, I personally wouldnt jab them but think back into work asap isnt a problem,

You obviously haven't ran the correct whites then . In the deep heather they are easy. It's due to the hare being handicapped by the deep heather. I dare say that a brown hare would struggle too if it had to run through heather 12-15 inches high. On short terrain the whites put up a good run. I've taken lads out with top class hare dogs and they've not caught even half of what whites they ran..... whites and browns and irish are all different animals and should be treat as such. Pet rabbit! Ran a lot more hares than you of all colours stick to writing books A big stateme

Tell them your dog was wretching like f**k last night you thought it was going to die, then all of a sudden it coughed up a fur ball the same colour as their cat, so they had a lucky escape as you were just on your way to the vets, so call it even steven and to f**k off.

Nothing can be done about a cat being killed by a dog unless she wants to take out a private prosecution or she says you deliberately set the dogs on the cat, but then its just her word against yours., and as long as your dogs didnt threaten her then nothing.will be done. offer to bury the cat.

Some people are interested in particular lines others in various breeds, its the same with cars you can buy o mondeo or you can buy a roller they both get you from A to B but in different manners, A dog will do a job for you if it is brought on in the right way and cared for right some will do it in style others in a workmanship like manner. Some buy a dog to inflate their ego and the bragging rights like i paid x grand for a dog out of so and so or this dog was bred by so and so, no doubt genetics and lines have a part to play but the man on the slip plays a major part the old saying "he cou

Public footpaths and bridleways are just that for the use of the public the owner of the land either side is private ownership a dog barking and protecting its residence is natural instinct. most dogs dont need to be a guard dog to do it. Ok clamp down on the macho slap heads parading status symbols around on big chains the dogs probably have higher IQ.s than them but a dog protecting private property is that wrong. ? A police dog on duty is used to intimidate the public if released it will bite anyone in the vicinity are they considered dangerous under this new law?

2 grand I fart and snore and still on the market lol

Plenty but they all keep quiet about them. A dog can only run what is in front of it on the day . If the game is better it gets away. The www has bulled more dogs and owners up than Disney bulled micky mouse. You want a pup you find one you like go out and either get it gifted or buy it, put the time, energy, and work into it and then see how it turns out, you can buy a fair few lottery tickets for a grand.

As a Muslim I believe Allah will choose the time and place of my death not one minute before or one minute after so why should
