No chance. The only mongrels which he would have in his kennels all have coats made of gold and would cost ye £450 a piece. I advised people a while ago,on this site and others, not to source a Working Bedlington from the Keighley area.Ive spent an awful lot of wasted energy, time and commitment attempting to get the Bedlington, as an honest grafter, accepted as a grafter once more, possibly why i tried to steer honest souls away from dross.I have 2 Beddy bitches at home now that im reluctant to breed from because of the nuggets that pollute the breed.IF i breed another litter i may possibly do w

Even with an adult dog the average lurcher owner should have little trouble educating it to a ferret, you can even afford to be a tad harsher in a reluctant older dogs tutorage.

Do you know of ANY litter of terriers ive advertised or sold for £450?,or are you just another ignorant feckwit that as little to contribute so contributes feck all thats valid.

Ill give you the answer i keep repeating,be careful, believe nowt,do your homework, insist on seeing the parents graft-thats a difficult one as nobody wants a stranger at heel, then be willing to wait for the right litter. For every 100 litters of Beddies bred about 1% are bred from honest grafters in honest kennels.Once you have owned a decent Beddy you will always have at least 1 in the kennel, until then source a Fell and get your percentage factor up to about 30%.

5,950 years of hunting in an environment that takes them out of their comfort zone. The first salukis came here in the 1800,s so they have done pretty well for ducks out of the desert. dont forget all the good running dogs greyhounds , salukis etc originate historically in the Middle East what would you lads have been coursing without them ? Im not sure you are correct in your assumption that anything decent came out of the Middle East.Europeans have an impressive history in breeding dogs to satisfy many an hunting lifestyle, long before the Saluki reached European shores,in the shor

Ive owned quite a few Saluki hybrid lurchers, when i was an avid fan of the hare it would have been rude not to own such an animal as they have no equal in that field. All my lurchers were encouraged to explore their capabilities and i strove to make them as versatile as possible, they all received the same education and they all got the opportunities to flourish at other disciplines.Im still in awe of the Hare but have not owned a Saluki hybrid for many a year,i want a versatile hunting companion and found the Saluki hybrids could never remotely match the ability of a purpose bred jukel better s

Anybody wearing an heavy tweed jacket can afford to be shot at least once in their lifetime.

Possibly because once its in the hands of the Police its then a pointless exercise until the case is dealt with, that may take 3 months or 18 and no amount of phone usage will expediate the matter.

The one thing that terrier folk once owned above all others was a mutual respect, tolerance and understanding, thats possibly to much to ask for now but at the advent of another year lets raise a glass to absent friends and wish each other well, happy new year folk.

As always N.,well done.

With all the areas you state your dogs can bush and how proficient they are at their task do you not find it frustrating that they can lose a scent and their ambition with such ease.

Strangest Place You Seen A Rabbit To
morton replied to forest of dean redneck's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Sea front at Morecambe bay,a massive rock pile on the front, not a blade of grass withing 100,s of metres and always a few rabbits scuttling amidst the rocks.Road into Dundee and a roundabout in an heavily commercial area and at least 5 rabbits sat about.Strangest of the lot a lad with a flimsy Whippet and he had 3 rabbits in his rucksack . -

Regardless of how the dog went missing, the responsibility of the dog is solely that of the officer who took it from the owner. Once that officer has taken the dog the future welfare of that animal is upon him, regardless of who or were the dog is housed. He or she cannot blame anybody else as it was them who took the dogs. If it was my dog I would hammer them through the courts, by the time I had finished that officer would not look twice at another dog. Hope it all turns out well eventually.......ATB....... spot on , if they like killing things= your dog, show him the farmer , you can do the same , kill his sheep , and pile them up in heap . he get the message very quick , with 10-15 sheep in a pile . he think twice about being trigger happy again . ive always said it, hit the farmer hard in the pocket , his stock just money to him there not pets etc , its the only way to get back at them. I deff would all my dogs are stock trained from 9 weeks old, and I still keep on top of it now even with dogs 4 and 9 years old . so if any trigger happy twat shot my dogs for being on there

I once had a shotgun pressed into my ribs, have had a tractor driver trying to plough the mutts into the ground, seen dogs shot running back to the owner, had more than a few dust-ups with irate landowners and keepers and the most annoying was a fat farmers wife kicking the mutt and punching me in the nose.It was once par for the course, especially North Yorkshire.

Any One Got Info On These Beddy Dogs
morton replied to Coursing mad 24's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
there's plenty of good ones around mate and still being used and bred from but that video made a mock of the bedlingtons terrier in general but you'd be surprised how many queued up to use that dog for terrier work and Lurcher breeding lol what a sham atb Not having a knock at you coco but if the percentages of workers to dross bred is anything to reflect on with the Bedlington then its a slog to find any Bedlington about that could sway the opinion of working terrier kennels around the country.Honest grafting Bedlingtons are like hens teeth and folk are influenced by dross and piss poor br -
