Thats an handsome little brute.

Would that be attempting to utilise a Ridgeback as a busher or attempting to get folk to be a tad more realistic.

The 2 i left on her the bitch resembled a fragile 20" Beddy/Whippet and the dog was an heavier built 22".

I was based at Aldergrove many moons ago,the amount of hares around the runway was obscene,i longed for a dog and the comfort of getting back to a normal life. were still hunting away at it.still loads about it . Do they still chase the taxiing planes?.

I believe the majority of us started out young, dumb and keen and those halcyon days are remembered with a sentimental pride. Then we learnt a thing or 5 and moved on.Now we,d not feed the dross we started out with and attempt to steer others along a more enlightened path thats been illuminated with a little experience. If somebody wants to utilise a mutt many of us know is a turd then fair play to them,id rather see the lad own a better suited mutt that would serve far better purpose and reward. He,s feeding the dog so its his choice,he,s posted on here for advice and if we take the sentiment out

Any Decent Litters In Yorkshire Area?
morton replied to slip-em quick's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Its better to be selective, ive been looking for over a year and cannot find anything that suits. My lads taking on a Wheaton x pup and asked me to nurture, educate and enter it,ive told him to run it on himself and ill look after the Deerhoundy. -
The advantage we have living in a democratic society is the fundamental law that we are innocent until proven guilty, what a crock of shite that is.Ive never once entered a courthouse with the emphasis on the law proving guilt.

I had a 27" rough arsed brute of a lurcher line a 13" Beddy bitch, the pups develop to suit the bitch and not the dog, they grow into their true size after being born.

One thing about Yorkshire is it nearly breeds more lurcher litters than the North East.I could peruse a few sites and its rare that litters of lurchers from Yorkshire are not evident. -

good beddys are hard to find I've looked an looked you just don't see good litters for sale from ground working parents mate Possibly because that type of Beddy is seldom bred, apart from 60% of litters advertised.

Glover is one nugget that masquerades under false pretence,he,s wrote novels on Bedlingtons and would,nt know a good un if it ran a marathon to bite him on his royal arse. The CMW is another outlet for his ego.

Any Litters From Fox Killing Parents Being Bred In Ireland
morton replied to WILF's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
The Bull and Terrier is nigh on a certainty the APBT, the only real relevant Bull cross over these shores. So now you were around pre Bull and Terrier times to pit your superior dogs against the Bulldog of the past.... Several decades ago i owned an English bull x greyhound, around the same time i owned a Staffy whippet and a while later i owned an APBT and a little later a Lurcher APBT bred, the APBT was a machine, geez i loved the adrenalin factor with that mutt, the lurcher was a cull though,as are the majority of mutts bred that way if honesty ever existed. The English bull/Grey was wasted on -
Id wish for a more stable and tested base. between the two there thousands of years of breeding an there still going strong you couldnt ask for a better base apart from a well worked first x off the two, after that you could go in any direction, up or down for any quarry you hunt an do away with whatever traits annoy you Your not wrong mucker,i don,t have the patience for the Saluki in lurcher breeding, yet i admire the collie in the mix, even i don,t understand that logic.

The origin of the bull was certainly not in your APBT,it sailed over the Atlantic with the Europeans and not with Geronimo, ill lend you a triple roofing ladder and a lakeland owner that likes backfilling to assist you with your assumptions. -

Thats being as naive as Desertbred,if we are talking percentages then the thug will outmuller the graceful one,yet many a fox slayer owns saluki ancestry, they run further, longer and dont suck the life out of their catch either. No it's not it's being honest and realistic, there's fox dogs and there's fox dogs. Honesty and Bull type lurchers, hilarious.Again it never ever ceases to amaze me that the fox was known as lurcher quarry for centuries before the bullshit hit the fan.The finest fox slayers in my lifetime never owned bull in their breeding and the main reason for the bullshit explosion -
