No,its older and befitting of its breeding now and few mutts could live with it,thats sounds massively big fecking headed but its the only way it comes across with such a jukel and i readily apologise for my feckwit acknowledgement of the mutt.

No you dont, you have allready decided.Honesty mucker and ive yet to own a mutt that id not be honest about.

I give a good 3 week before I go back on the same permo. Even if i let a dog sniff an entrance ill only check it again a few weeks later. The facts are around this area any known holding spot will often be visited by several folk in the same weekend.Another fact is it will be empty today and occupied tomorrow. I must own different terriers Neil because its common for mine to push a fox below,on their own or accompanied, any fox that as the audacity to underestimate my mongrels often never reaches the dark embrace of sanctuary, even if it does it regrets it.Yours don,t mine do and ill guarantee i don,t hold the monopoly on such jukels.

How Bright Do You Want A Lamp For Lurchers
morton replied to D Lloyd's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
I used to seek out the dimmest of lamps when i frequented the Dales and trained the mutts to a weak candle power,on other locations i wanted illumination.Id not be able to lamp with the dim lamps i utilised in the early ,s now,my eyesight is fecked and i like a wide strong beam now,id have frowned on that a few decades ago. -
Give Darcy a pm,that lad knows where to situate a useful holding spot.Ive been thankful to him a few times over the last few seasons and thats not having a knock D.

If i could write i would,Frain,Plummer and the biggest fraud Glover captivated a captive audience, ill have to sharpen my quills.

there is plenty of clips of that bitch Kim killing hares a lot quicker and on smaller land, to my mind that proves that was a special hare and them type of hares which you only drop on now and again will make a fast type look slow and will literally need to be run to death to be caught which a super fast dog is not going to be able to do, a top notch hare will not be killed quickly by any dog no matter how fast they are and that is a fact The best of hares are often killed by a mutt that does not have two runs in it.My mate owned a 3/4 Grey-Collie,that dog seldom missed its first run,on ope

Try it you may furnish another arrow for your bow,the people who frown on it because its not accepted by the more modern terrier soul raise a wry smile with me.Have faith in the mutts and know when 1 is not enough.

The amount of times ive found dreys in the bottom of dry stone walls, occupied.

People laugh at me when i extol the virtues of a bushing terrier, the vast majority of fox i encounter is pushed from cover,a small fraction of the fox my mutts encounter are found below.Folk that work their mutts from a leash walk merrily by an occupied patch of cover whilst they walk from earth to earth.

An awful lot of terrier folk share your sentiments and when its based on honest experience and facts its irrefutable and id be the first to concur with you mucker.I cannot do with the muppets that base their experiences by what they read and hear.I know and freely admit that Honest Working Bedlingtons are less than as common as some would have us believe, the good-uns are few and far between and earn respect in any company, the dross are the major influence on how people perceive the Bedlington and that perception is not misplaced.Until then a few hardy souls swim against the tide of prejudice t

I used to make good use of a snowfall and a strong moon to access land that offered some memorable hunting experiences,3 or 4 inches of snow was ideal.Finding fresh tracks and following them, often for many a mile, made for some interesting moments, the right conditions were rare but a moonlit meander with soft snow underfoot and that haunting silvery glare, happy times.

Ive owned Russels and worked em,Black terriers and worked em,lakey-Fells and worked em and Bedlingtons and also worked them.Ill always have a Lakey at heel, just 1,the only other terriers ill kennel now are Beddy,s and their hybrids and if they could,nt graft id not want their company. The Bedlington because of its versatility makes a better option, as a small lurcher, over any other terrier. The Bedlingtons that are often utilised in lurcher production are seldom known for their working ability, hybrid vigour seems to make up for that and few Beddy lurchers make poor grafting mutts if utilised to

Id breed out of two bitches this year if it would serve the purpose of putting pups in genuine kennels, thats possibly why at least 1 bitch will never see a litter and the other will rear a litter of 2.

Many a bullx lurcher travels at greater speed than that, especially when being thrown from a moving 4x4.
-
Of course they are not slow, it's all relative isn't it. Whats relative is the fact that the majority of hares do not reside on the minority of land that suits the Saluki most. There we have it, so according to you a stronger dog is needed fro the ground over here? Or are you trying to say most fields are not big enough? What im saying is the Saluki infused runner as no equal on open ground with multiple slips, the first and second slips and many a lurcher will outrun and outdo the best of the Arabic mongrels, then the saluki hybrids take it to a level that nothing else can reach. On the m

Probably Been Done To Death.
morton replied to Barbarian1990's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
An awful lot of useful terriers meet their end far to soon, some people are fortunate enough to replace them with another ready to go terrier. -

What i expect from a working terrier is not being bred towards by anybody else that owns Bedlingtons in this area and thats set in granite.
