  1. Nicely put Bill I've run out of likes . Simon if you don't want to read about it don't click on it FFS , simples . I'm trying to be polite here .. I woudn't have normally Phil, but THREE threads of this Graham scum is hard to ignore. Still, if all credit is due to anyone, mine goes to this Dave from Airgun BBS who had actually had the neck to go front it out with Steve Graham and got him arrested. Hopefully he will get a spell inside long enough to be forgotten about and we can all get back to shooting and reading and writing related posts to that subject. Just being polite her
  2. I guess you know what my answer to that will be Woodcote1!
  3. Looks like he's finally got his come-uppance now so it's all over for him now anyway. Sorry if you got burned by him mate but I remember you sticking up for him some time ago. That's how life can be with people sometimes. You think you know someone by your own standards of decency. But, heyho, they reward you by scamming your arse! That's why I'm careful who I deal with and have a big stick in reserve when or if it all goes wrong.
  4. Davy the world is full of c**ts trying to outdo us all. Me? I would have had his arse into court double quick. If he goes down, he goes down. Simple. I promise you mate, my lawyer will be a darn sight better than his.
  5. There you go! The police are onto him with someone who's had the balls to hunt him out at last. Can we get back to being an airgun forum now, instead of Crimestoppers?
  6. Mike. Until you actually do something tangibly good with the "Evidence" you've apparently gathered, it is all pointless. And you don't. You just keep on posting one more bloody "Ahaah! Gotcha!!" post about them but nothing else. Get in touch with PC John Davies at Tewksbury Police who is currently investigating the Graham clan activities with what you know. Have the balls to be an upstanding citizen and do the right thing and report what you know. Or kindly stop living in fantasy land wasting forum space with pointless threads that go no-where to bringing this ghastly chav and his brother
  7. You starting another pointless bloody thread about him surprises me even less!
  8. BUSHNELL SCOPECHIEF 4-14X50 AO. Scopechief was a range of scopes by Bushnell no longer made now but, they were truly amazing for an air rifle. The adverts for the Weihrauch HW80 for the 2000s featured one; and on my HW77 right now, it is just a perfect combination. Mine was the flagship model and it's still as good as the day, in 1998, when I bought it. £350 was a lot to pay for a scope back then. But it It's incredibly clear, focuses to the precise range indicated on the focus ring and stays bang on on zero, whichever of my rifles I switch it to. A thin 30/30 reticle makes them very p
  9. I'm not in the least surprised keithy. Best break barrel air rifle of all!
  10. I love a quality 30/30 or simple, generic mildot reticle and I'm seriously impressed by what I'm reading-up on the Nikon Prostaff series. Definitely going to get a couple for the HW77 and HW97K. I reckon they'll be amazing together for hunting and HFT.
  11. NO!!! DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!!!
  12. Just watched it. Is that you out there Davy? It's the only place you can freely visit to unload a load from a handgun I think!
  13. Sounds to me as though you have reached a stage where you have outgrown the likes of SMK. So that will also go for Hatsan...or as I prefer to call them; Hatstand! (Might as well be; for the quality of construction and steel used in them!) Buying cheap means buying shit that doesn't perform as well as expensive quality rifles. It does not mean buying anything just as good for less money, no matter what the gunshop guy behind the counter will tell you. Why buy crappy bloody "copies" when the real deal is not a king's ransom to buy -And even better value second hand! If you want to shoot a b
  14. Looks a sweet rifle for him to cut his teeth on Mac. Keep us up to date how he gets on with it mate!
  15. If it had to be absolutely just the one spring underlever air rifle of all for hunting...... WEIHRAUCH HW77 .22 After trying Pro Sports and owning TX200s, there is no finer, more accurate underlever spring rifle than this German masterpiece. The HW97 is as good as a '77. But not better.
  16. They are. Gamo make them now and stick a BSA badge on them. ha ha really are they that bad?
  17. HW77 or HW97. With the TX200HC I have all three. The TX200HC .177 I have is a blisteringly accurate rifle, set in some of the nicest walnut but, I'm thoroughly a Weihrauch man at heart. Through and through. No other air rifle series offers so many amazing opportunities for turning them into individual customised air rifles. Weihrauch rifles are not a million miles from where they should be. It's the springs that lets them down mostly these days; but, they do benefit from a bit of skilled TLC and a quality tuning kit. The HW77 I have is the finest most accurate.22 spring rifle I've ev
  18. To be fair and honest the only real and indisputable advantage a PCP has over a spring rifle is its multi-shot magazine capability. An ability to quickly cycle a bolt and chamber a second shot and more after that, is always an advantage of speed shooting over a single-shot loading action. But that's all really. When you are skilled with shooting a rifle, with a full knowledge of the marksmanship principles and a well-practiced correct hold/shooting technique, owning a really well set-up, tuned quality springer means you will never be without a precision accurate rifle to go to for a
  19. I have to agree with villaman wholeheartedly. I have yet to hear a lad say, it was the best thing he did; selling his HW97KT. :cray:What you have here I would cherish. I would take on a second job to fund another gun, if one was that important to me. Just saying but, think before you part with them.
  20. I have a spoilt-rotten choice of fine scopes for my rifles mate. But, I want to wish you all the best for your apprenticeship Welshhunterz; whoever, where ever you are. My dad was an amazing man who was the best shot I ever saw; and he was a Master Craftsman cabinet maker and carpenter who made the most beautiful things in wood. Including the wooden master Jigs that formed the tail-planes of the Canberra Bomber and the ones that formed the huge air intakes for Avro Vulcans. I think of that when I see a Canberra in a museum; or the last Vulcan fly! My dad helped to make those aircraft
  21. I have my Helen heading north to be with me here this weekend, and functions going on with the RAF as their guests so we won't be able to come to this one. But I would urge anyone who can make it, to do so! These are great meet-ups with some of the best lads I've ever met. Good, challenging shooting course with some difficult targets (-some don't fall even when you hit em eh, Davy!) Hope to be down again for the proposed September meet. My HW77 .22 and .177 HW97K have just had the Tony Wall/Andy treatment and are bloody blisteringly sweet, smooth and accurate now. The best they ha
  22. I'm lucky to have a wonderful lady in my life who totally gets why I love shooting and is a great shot herself. But has taken all my 55 years to find her. The rest of the world who knows I shoot, are bracing themselves for the never-to-happen time I finally climb a high tower and cull a shopping centre; so they can wink at eachother and say: 'Yep there he goes. What did I say?!
  23. Hi Skot. You seem to be tying yourself into a knot here mate. Try this. Measure the distance with a tape from your scope front lens to the target face. Focus it sharp in the scope sight-picture and mark it on the range-focusing ring of the scope with a thin line of enamel paint. Your scope is now set and marked to an accurate range-finding measure. In the military we shoot by measured rangefinding from the scope as barrels differ in length. The scope is a constant length fixture that does the magnifying. Edited to add: You need to learn to range-find by instinct and you can learn by m
