    When i start finding babies or dig to babies after a lay up i call it a day. And i dont think it will be much longer as iv been seeing a few mating bunnies while lamping.

    I would never have an adult dog. Did it once and it was shit, sent it back to its original owner. Pups all the way now for me. As for price for a pup, lurcher pups go for £150+. A pup fetching £300 would have to bred out of something pretty special. Iv seen pups in the countymans for £700s or even a grand. Preban 5 out of 5 hare dogs were going for silly money. It disgusts me that certain people wont pay for a dog/pup. They are usually the same c**ts who treat it like shit and if it gets an injury kill it or dump it and get another. Attitudes like that do the dog world no favours.

    These are what i use to fix the wires to the motorbike battery. Shave the plastic off so you have an inch and half bare wire showing. Twist it together then poke it thru the tube part of the terminal. Wrap it around the blade then crimp the tube to the plastic rather than the wire. If you crimp it to the wire it will shear off.

    Mate at 8 months old he is still just a baby. Dont work him to hard. He is still developing both mentally and physicaly. Bones still fragile etc etc. You can do a lot of damage if you push him to far at this stage. I recomend you just bond and have a bit of fun for now. Get him out ferreting by all means but do your best to net up. Law of averages sais that sooner or later a rabbit will slip the net or pop out of an unnetted hole. Thats when he gets the chance to have a run. Let him experience success with rabbits by "catching" netted ones. If you can get him out with an experienced dog on the

    Get a dummy, wrap a rabbit skin round it. Just play with the dog, the dummy is a toy. Then do the same at night with lamp. Buy a hi vis vest and cut the hi vis strips off it and glue them on the dummy. Throw the dummy then light it up. The eyes (hi vis strips) will show up. The dog runs in, catches. You give lots of praise. Then its time for a few easy squatters. Take it from there. Thats how i trained mine. You can read a rabbits body lingo. Get as close as you can. As the rabbit gets up to run slip the dog. If he catches or if he fucks it up still give plenty of praise, you dont want him los

    I can honestly say that out of my 5 dogs the most usefull ones to me when ferreting are the beagle x jack and the collie greyhound. Both mark well, both have instand reactions, both know whats going on downstairs. BUT if a rabbit slips the net its the collie greyhound who makes sure it still ends up in the back of my van. The other 3 are still to young to be able to judge but are looking good so far.

    I was walking the dogs on some common land the other day. Luckily it was one of the rare days i didnt take the ferrets with me. After a 2 hour walk i get back to the car and there is a police land rover parked next to it. I thought "well iv nothing on me so might as well just front the twat out".     Iv done a lot of taxi work in my time and so iv found all sorts of things. Most say thankyou for returning it but there are a lot of arseholes out there. I was even accused by one girl of knicking her money before handing it back even after i had taken the time to go to her house and knock without an answer twice, put a note through her door and then got a call to meet her at her new address.     It would be good to remove the hob mate. If the jill is in season he will just keep raping her over and over for days. A male ferret is an agressive little sod when having his wicked way, he will grab hold of the back of her neck and drag her around and generally beat her about. When i breed i put the hob in with the jill in the morning and take him out that evening. You can always tell if they have done it by the state of the neck.     It does make sense. Rabbits etc do have a good sense of smell. If your walking into the wind, which you should be, they wont smell it but will still see the cherry. I dont know if that would bother them or not but from a practical veiw i shouldnt think its to easy to smoke. Youve only got 2 hands. Some peeps dont keep the dog on slip i spose but if you do then its one hand on lamp and the other hand holding the dog.

    I see this as 2 different subjects. 1 = hancock and 2 collie x greyhound. Personally i dont like handcock at all. He is a puppy peddler with no interest whatsoever in the dogs welfare, just his 200 sovs. Also personally i love a collie x greyhound.     Hi Tomo, Im still living down south at the moment so its difficult but i have been in contact with a good number of agents who iv found on the internet. I spoke to the tenent farmers association too and they told me about auction marts. So i googled a load of auction marts in the area and they just refered me back to the estate agents. I even called richmond borough council and asked if they have anything. Apparently any that they get come up they are just selling on these days rather than letting them.
