  1. Fair play! Pm the rest please? I can see myself doin some of these!
  2. hes one of those lads who travels in groups of at least 4 which leaves me outnumbered, he would probably also send a mate with the dog instead of himself, then come back the first opportunity im out of the house and steal her again along with any other dogs he can get his hands on. id rather lose 1 dog than several. if i go to war with 1 of them (them meaning his entire family and in-laws and mates) i have to go to war with the lot of them. ive other ideas and as the saying goes theres more than one way to skin a cat It IS problem faced by a lot of people unfortunately. Obviously No one
  3. If you adverise a reward he will see an chance for a few quid, phone you up and arrange to meet to swap dosh for dog. Instead of giving him money, give him a wheelchair and take your dog home. "i also think if i keep the advertising up especially in my locality and on the net he wont be able to sell her and will eventually dump her and i will get her back that way." Yes wrapped in a bin liner in a ditch probably. Dog thieves are the ultimate scum, nasty, horrid evil little c**ts and will think nothing of putting a shovel over its head if they think its getting to hot.

Just though some of you might find my wording of the letter iv sent to the f*****g morons amusing! Lol! Dear Susan Williams, I write in response your letter dated 09/01/11 within which you seem to of not yet grasped the fact that although I did indeed receive 3 penalty points from Southampton magistrates court for my offence of jumping a red traffic light the courts themselves applied the said points on the day hence there is no need to send my licence to your lovely self. Also on the day of my court appearance for said offense I asked the magistrate directly if I still needed to
  7. Oh FFS! Im always missing out! Lol! Iv been looking out for a pure greyhound for ages! Biza hollis good for you mate, she looks a great dog. Stoat eyes stop acting like a c**t!
  8. Had a look online at horse n hound, country small holding and smallholder without any luck. Might have to actually buy them tomorrow and see if they have classifieds in the paper version. Anyone else think of anything?
  9. First of all dont listen to all the thick c**ts that tell you to hit him or kick him or put him down! If you need to dominate him at all, you do it by forcing him onto his back and holding him there till he stops wriggling. A dog understands dog language and a dogs way of saying im the boss and your taking the piss is to pin them down, growling, fangs (your fingers) applying gentle but firm pressure to the chest, belly or throat untill the dog submits. Good behaviour = lots of praise, a treat and a cuddle. Unwanted behaviour = being ignored. Agressive behaviour = being dominated. Onl
  10. No problem kelly. You cover the cost of materiels and i will do.
  11. I was hoping someone might be able to advise me on the above. I used to live in lancashire and loved it. I moved south 4 years ago and to be honest i wish i hadnt bothered! Lol! When i was in lancashire i used to visit the Yorkshire dales to stalk deer, shoot, ferret, work the dogs, fish…….. I am looking to go back to the lancs/yorks area, the dales being my ideal. I found a website called greenshifters and the rental prices look good to me but there is nothing in the dales. Can anyone suggest a way forward please? Does anyone know a website or company that specialize in small holding let
  12. Langouroux i just tried to pm you mate but i think your box must be full.
  13. I would keep her seperate as well mate. At least untill she starts to look half decent. Job one: give her a bath. Baby or puppy shampoo will be ok, just keep away from the eyes and rinse it out well. Then keep her indoors untill she has dried off thouroughly. As you said, clean, dry hutch with plenty of deep sawdust throughout and a good pile of straw in the nest box. A multi parasite spot on from the local pet supermarket (or ebay), again as you said a fresh rabbit for her to help herself to and fresh water.
  14. As has been said, little jumps are the thing to start off on. Those little 3 foot tall wooden fences etc. As for ditches, again start small. If YOU can step over it then the dog can jump over it. As you progresse to bigger ditches try to find one with a plank over it. This gives the dog confidence. He will walk acroos a few times but then will jump as he reaslises its more fun and faster. Throw toys over for him to chase. He will gradually get more confident (and more capable) and you can progresse to fallen trees, higher fences, wider ditches........ hcfghcfhfh.bmp xdfgcghcfgh.bmp
  15. Whats happened to paddy? Sighthound what would your suggestion be if i wanted to get a pure grey and try it on both? Coursing lines im guessing? Or one parent coursing and the other track? I reckon injuries are always gonna happen in working dogs. Its unavoidable. Nobody wants it to happen but the moment we take the cotton wool off and open the front door for them to go outside its possible. Just have to have all the bits and bobs for making them better ready and the phone number of a good vet at hand just in case. Sorry to hear about your one mate.
  16. if you can read i asked for advice mate not criticism keep thoughts like that to your self there not gonna help anyone ......its because its been very rapid yesterday i thought she would pull through. Best advice youle get is take the thing to a vet mate. Not having a dig at you here mate but it boils my piss when i see this sort of thing. Everybody on here is a ferret or dog owner, not vets and yet time and time again we see people waiting days with their animal laying there f****d and dying before they come on here asking for advice and no matter what anyone on here sais the only real t
  17. Dont worry about it mate, shes a friend of mine. Its just banter.
  18. Cheers guys. So they can be good workers but not track as well? So perhaps a pup from coursing lines would be a better choice for all round lurcher type work?

  20. I think that brought as a pup and brought up as you would a lurcher they would be smashing on all quarry. Think about it, a pure greyhound is as fast as you can get, its undiluted and pure. Whatever you put into it (collie, bull, bedlington etc etc) waters it down and detracts from the speed. The only way of not detracting from the speed is to x it with another pure running dog (whippet for accelaration, saluki for stamina). A retired greyhound (ex track dog) only knows straight ahead and straight lines and not for very long at a time. Its body, muscles and bones have developed to be doin
  21. I put this an answer in the lurcher section. Am hoping to get a balanced answer to it here: I think that brought as a pup and brought up as you would a lurcher they would be smashing on all quarry.
