  1. Even the does will try and bite you if given half a chance, glad cwd don't behave in the same way.
  2. Realy like the look of that bitch could find room for her in my kennels thats for sure.
  3. That is always the question mate, most dogs that put more than a handful of bends into one with out pulling it don't really want it. thats a bold stament to make, like saying if the dog puts more than 15 bends in a hare it dont want it No imo a fox was easily caught they were not the fastest quarry ....and a hare doesnt bite back ....ive seen plenty of dogs spin a fox but they dont want to catch it as they dont like getting bit.....my point is if foxes didnt bite back they would be not much of a match for even an average lurcher i wasnt aiming that post at you it was at butlers post.
  4. That is always the question mate, most dogs that put more than a handful of bends into one with out pulling it don't really want it.
  5. Is there such a thing???????????????????????????????????
  6. Could lack pace and will probably be a nightmare to kennel. But the cross interests me, how many seasons has the bitch done??
  7. If you intend breeding mules with whatever Native you choose make sure that the cock be it linnet, goldie, greenie etc is not in earshot of a hen bird of his species because he will only spend his time calling to her and ignore the canary hen. put a cock canary in view of the hen canary divided by wire and when she squats for him the native should oblige. (Edited to correct spelling) Few old wives tales in that post fella, I have bred mules in aviaries were there has been a pair of finches and a few odd canary hens the cock finch will tread them all. But i have seen the method you
  8. looking good mate, i'll get up with this bitch of mine for a bit of sport this back end show you here on.

  10. Beaters £40 pickers up £50 to be honest i enjoy it but wouldn't do it for any less a days work deserves a days pay IMO
  11. Unless you are seeing that amount of stuff fairly regular mate, you will never have them fully up to the job, thats just life........more rabbits will however sharpen them up as the season progresses imho As I said, your dog did well and I would be happy because mine dont get to see those type of numbers either There is also a knack to killing large bags on that type of ground. If your not used to seeing good numbers on a place you can burn a dog out fast and never reach the big numbers.
  12. They go for 20 quid a box nowaday's but i will give you £25.. To late fella i managed to strike a deal for 5lb of rubarb and a half dozen wellsummer eggs, think i was robbed but i really wanted the traps :D
  13. Was a few lamps in the sky over that way last night Tomo We managed a very similar bag ourselves but with a few extras in the bag aswell.
  14. They can be useful if from the right stuff, same as any cross really.
  15. If the mites are dead her leg's should clear when she moults.

  20. I don't know what you would expect the wiring to look like, it looks fine to me, it looks fairly similar to my Striker that I re-wired myself and the rubber grommet keeping the wire it place is fused to the cable, so shouldn't move. The cigarette lighter connection is a snug fit with the Deben fitting and I have used the same connection on my Striker for more than two seasons and it hasn't melted and if it did it's within it's warranty, I like this connection as I can use it from my motor and the quad. I think the Lightforce range is the best once you get past the teething problems i.e wiring.
  21. Handled one of these lamps last week, not good imo. I had it in bit's and the wiring looked shoddy to say the least they come with the cig lighter conection that melt and as soon as you swap them for somthing decent your warranty is void. But the lightforce isn't much better so until someone makes a better hunting lamp we don't have much of a choice do we.
