  1. Maybe so Stopend but most of us keep them too ourselves and dont plaster them all over the www.
  2. I know of men that dug back in the 70s-80s and they reckoned that the EB was a betterx for producing diging dogs,i always had the staffx's and still have 1 to this day but seen some very usefull EBTx's aswell.
  3. FD there is only 2 irish saying it,thats if they are irish and i honestly think its a couple of young lads just backing each other up that dont know any different.
  4. to help others in need of a good bitch needing a pup. A good stud with a good bitch can throw good pups, the more a good dog is bred off, the more the working genes will run in the breed, keeping it in tight circles is selfish and beyond me, if someone asked me for a line i wouldnt turn them down because it would ruin the dogs rep... Bollox I have to disagree Rob,as if you get a service for your bitch that has done everything you have asked of her and more and the stud dog you choose has no links what so ever to said bitch and eventually has we will say 4 pups. Now the same stud dog may have
  5. i have no old pics of plummers or the crosses wm. none worth posting anyways. i was allways a russell man. through and through. i often wonder why i got into plummers. liked the look of them i suppose. but i have to admit the stick they get is way over the top. they can be very usefull. as multi taskers . we bred the pups off wizard to try to produce handy sized russells as the bitch we had was tiny and very handy. if i had my time again i would put a well bred little russell over her. and dodge the smoke and mirrors of plummer world. lol this pic is from the same era. (early eighties. an

  7. Nice little busher but you may need to stick a locater collar on him as he seems very interested in that rabbit hole, something a bit bigger and that might be the last you see of him.
  8. Foxdropper, with this line-breeding and you seem to come across as you know what your talking about if for instance you have a very tightly line bred dog and bitch and you breed these, what percentage of the litter would you expect to make the grade as i read where a lot are saying if 50% make it there happy,my question is why should they all not make it if they are bred correctly?
  9. She aint that hard if charlie is 5in in front of her,lol..... Suppose it's what you class as hard....I class hard as in a hard little dog that works it's quarry and will not let it past and will keep it wher it is and not let it move ...I've seen plenty of dogs what were hard like what u class as hard ie no lips no jaw and after 2 seasons looks f****d .....if that's what you want from your dogs then so be it but I for one would prefer a dog to be hard when needed not hard all the time and constantly be smashed up and in sick bay..... Pull in your horns bullx, there was no harm meant, but
  10. Jesus Liam you get uglyier every time i see you and at least put a hat on cause if the sun hits that head you'll cause an air crash with the reflection thats goin to come of it,lol.
  11. Fatman put on a good bit of weight lately maybe its him. LOL,im nearly as broad as i am long, like a tar barrell,ya hillbilly ya. Its eamons fault,he wont give you the shovel. I have a terrible phobia of shovels,i think its called lazyness,if there was 1 in the bed id sleep on the floor.
  12. She aint that hard if charlie is 5in in front of her, lol.

  14. I will say this for ya Irishman,if your terriers stay as long at it as you have on here on this thread there not bad.
  15. Best comment yet. You another one like killing out of season.. Youd think you would have some pride from ireland.. You dont live near me anyways Any self respecting Irish man spells the name of his Country with a capital I for starters. For somebody who is such a dedicated digging man(in season of course)why are you looking for a digging dog in the classifieds? No digging man worth his salt should have to come on here looking for a dog,it says a lot about your experience. You have said you have no gun, and when you were asked how do you dispatch at the end of a dig you said you let the f
  16. If a fox or a vixon with cubs is doing damage then its a job that has to be done,no one that works terriers like doing it but thats the way it is,BUT is there really any need to plaster it all over thl,its this that will finish terrier work in the end,go about your buisness and keep it to yourself.
  17. Sound looking pen but would you not be afraid a fox would dig in under through that sand or is there a wire base to it aswell.I used to keep mine penned aswell with galvanize sheeting around the bottom of them sank 6in in the ground but a fox still managed to dig in and once in it was easy for him to go from pen to pen, killed 9 cocks on me that night.I now use the barrells with strings attached in a compound with 6ft chainlink and electric wire top and bottom, have not lost a bird since touch wood, lol.
  18. I reckon some people actually get a kick out of diging or killing cubs, then they be on here come winter saying there geting it hard to find game to ground, any wonder and they killing there own sport. Some lads have to do it wheather they like it or not as protection for lambs and game birds but why write about it on here.
  19. Id say many the hole you staggered out of yourself after 15 pints of the blackstuff, gas is shocken aswell, lol.
  20. If all the pics of dead animals and terriers and lurchers with limps missing off them were kept of the internet the anti's would have little to show, its actual terrier men and lurcher men that are supplying them with all they need.We are doing nothing wrong but as i said before its very easy to take 1 pic of a terrier with facial injuries and another of a dead fox and suddenly there stuck together in the worst form they can put them in for all to see on posters all over the net and else where. When lads take pics out and about at there chosen sport, fine but keep them to yourselves, not plaster t
  21. Johnny bluck came and bought a border dog of a mate of mine it was one of the last ones of a guy who owned proper borders he was called geoff fenaroly from Aberdare was over the moon with the dog cause it killed a nasty ferret guys a f*****g clown From what i hear Bluck has gone from borders to blacks and now to russells all in the space of 3 years, out and out money man.
  22. Do ye not have a season ffs,ye be on here come winter complaining that there scarce, killing your own sport, let them breed lads, all the more to hunt come next october-november.
  23. How long are the stockies in the water you fish as i could not imagine them been too tasty. The lake i fish holds quite a lot of wild brown trout aswell as stockies and rainbows and i have to say there is no comparison taste wise, although when the rainbows are in the water for a few months there not bad eating.
  24. Anyone that has ever skint a fox will see just how they can get in to such tight places, foxs may look big and some even bulky looking but with the pelt off they have a body like a snake.
