  1. no, but take the caps lock off
  2. maybe they are *ucked, and thats why they were given to you
  3. I have been told the same, but playing devils advocate : Is it unsporting then to let pigeon land in the decoy pattern?, Is it unsporting to shoot a fox or rabbit that is standing still? Not trying to be smart just curious on peoples opinions then. a good point, I suppose we could also go onto asking, sport or food, surely poachers of old, that went out on dark nights, would have taken a pheasant roosting, rather than flying, not sporting, but then if its to feed the family Im presuming its different? my pheasant was'ent taken for sport, its plucked and getting fed to people on
  4. i was going to say something yesterday about that, kick em up and at least get a bit of flight on em or let em go til next time. not very sporting for a game bird my appologise guys, I've never shot pheasant before, so I'll know if one ever comes along again, I would say though that "the guns" that Id heard earlier that morning, may well have been a driven shoot, rather than pidgeons as Id thought, I dont know but I didnt see it fly in, so maybe it was a winged bird that had walked across
  5. try it for yourself and see, dig a hole in garden and bury it, that'll give you a rough idea
  6. so yours is ok now mate
  7. yes, you'll pick up a signal from a mk3 collar using a mk1 box
  8. so as usual got over the farm this morning, set up the blind, decoys, motion doves and the new rotary magnet, within seconds a pidgeon had come down and was in the bag, lovely blue sky and not another woodie in sight probably around 40 minutes before the second showed up, so I wasent to bother, 2 birds for 2 carts, then empty skies again, I could hear shooting in the distance on the other farm, so put this down as the reason for no birds, but why o why o why is it, that just when you aint seen nothing for ages, put the gun down and turned around to let "mr wriggly" releave himself, do not one b

  15. a 15ft takes 2 batteries as opposed to 1 on an 8ft
  16. think you'll find they will stay on a dead rabbit longer, Ianb has had them jump off after 24hrs
  17. its not a stupid remark, but why tinned dog food mostly water in those tins, if you cant feed fresh raw rabbit/pidgeon etc do the decent thing at get some chicken from supermarket failing that ferret biscuit
  18. a pigeon watch member advertised this yesterday, and although at first I replied that I was waiting for payment from a private pest job and that if he still had it after the weekend I'd buy it, I then realised what a good deal it was, and heck, whats an overdraft for anyway, was only a few miles up the road from me so collected this afternoon, ended up buying a good quaility magnet bag off him too, the magnet itself came with the better "v" cradles with crocadile clips for attaching dead birds onto as well as the silisock decoys
  19. Ive been bringing them down with a dead woodie, one cheeky bugger even flew into the shed after a dead woodie on the worktop

  23. where abouts are you, as I have a spare one too
  24. I have the hushpower pedretti, so know what your up against, I reckon a 40mm pipe bracket will slip right over that, a small piece of wood bolted across will secure it to the barrel/mod, then fix the laser/torch bracket to the wood, give it a spray of black paint when finished, no one would be any the wiser,
