  6. hi all, as Im such a crap shot at the moment, Im after approx 20 or so freshly shot pigeons, for a halloween BBQ that were having at the end of month, either name your price, or get free entry to the party for you and your spouse, fancy dress guest list mostly made up of "london bikers",you know the drill, scantly clad leather biker chicks, so need to get a few hunter/gatherer types together to even out the balance, plus of course to show them all what pidgeon/rabbit/squirrel taste like anyone
  7. I feel sorry for the guy standing behind her.....
  8. along with the 101 other things we have to look out for, I think you worry to much jack, this is not the first time new members have asked for "free stuff" sometimes depending how they compose their posts, or if they in fact have posted any posts/topics, see's them getting a few bits and pieces, some carry on, others dissapear never to be heard of again, this certainly is'nt the first time, and wont be the last either, most members wise upto them, or read old posts and see them contradicting themselves, as shown by other posts here
  9. yes mate, to all of the above
  10. your saying "around caravans" so presume its a public place, Id rather live catch the foxes (traps) and then dispatch, rather than using a rifle near public
  11. well just looked at their website, not only do you have to pay but at 17yrs, you wouldent be allowed unless with an adult
  12. but did you have your motion decoy
  13. I thought it did when ordering, but on re reading, its a different one (battery op) that fits in the middle, but I'll give it a go anyway, prob as it needs a wind to keep the wings spinning, so no use on windless days it was around $14.99 have just checked out their website again, and cant find the motion doves anywhere, prehaps they were the end of the line, and a reason for being on sale the swell around the cape took its toll, as the coolie had frostbite in his toes, I gave him a couple of rabbits and sent him on his way
  14. some of you may have seen the "crow motion" post, we I followed one of the links to an american hunting site, and duly order one, it was on sale at $9.99 so I ordered another decoy with the spinning wings, with delivery charges it added up to around $45 which when converted, worked out just over £24, not bad I thought, anyhow, harrythecat recieved his a few days ago, mine was being delivered by a coolie in a canoe so took a little longer, but it finally arrived today, very happy with it, although the doves are noticably smaller than our wood pidgeons, Im sure the movement will attract th
  15. I always feed mine gutted, but then wether they have been shot or ferreted, if you gut them in the field, makes them lighter to carry, specialy when you'vre got 50 or so, Ive got a chest freezer in the shed, that will hold approx 55 full size rabbits, when I get the rabbits home, chop all feet off and head, this makes them fit in the freezer better, feet get chucked, but all heads go in a bag in freezer, I put a layer of rabbits in, normal 5 or 6, then cover with a piece of plastic/carrier bag, then another layer etc, this stops then sticking together, as new rabbits are bought home, I'll
  16. simply cut slots in with the dremmel, cut the wings slightly longer/wider and pushed them in, same with the tail section
  17. its funny how creative you can become, from reading other peoples posts, and starting out in pidgeon shooting, after a few trips out just sitting under low boughed tree's, I put together a small "blind" using parts of an old pergoda we had on the rubbish pile, 4x 6ft legs a cross member and a bit of camo/realtree netting and bob's ya uncle, used it last week and it did the job great, my first pidgeon coming down into the decoys within 10 minutes of setting it up anyhow, I then got onto the idea of a floater, the plastic full bodied decoy and the dremmel came to mind, some mouse mat type m
  18. the fox trap is permantly set up in the chicken coop, my missus gave me a shout this morning that we had a fox, but then came back to the house and said "you wont need the gun" I went down to the chickens and saw this, can only imagine that he had gone in and grabbed the bait whilst pulling backwards, thus have the door fall onto the back of his neck,
  19. never waste anything, rabbits/pidgeon, all gets eaten by either us, dogs or ferts, as already mentioned if its going to waste, why do it even if doing it for pest control you'd expect people to find an outlet for them, zoo, rescue centre, raptor centre etc, rather than just leave them to rot
  20. no need to shout, take the caps lock off
